Best purchase ive made in a while. Little tip if anyone reads this. Put pressure in the fermenter with C02 or from fermentation. Then attach a tube to the end of the flow stopper with a gas ball lock on the end and attach to the gas post of the fermenter. Then you can just do a closed loop and no need for wasting gas from the C02 cylinder

Nice!

I'm thinking this will result in beer right up and into to the gas post / gas dip tube and risks getting into the regulator. Is it enough to just use a gas disconnect with a check valve?

Kegland have some real good affordable stuff I deal with them all the time and NEVER had an issue. Highly recommend. Thanks for the video Team Cheers 🍻.

I actually used this as a sight glass for my beer line jumper, so when I transfer from my fermenting to serving keg I can stop the flow when i start seeing yeast

Awesome idea, cheers!

Do you need to leave head space in the pet keg when you carbonate to let it condition
@graintoglass5 ай бұрын
It will carbonate faster if you leave some headspace. I stop filling once I'm 2-3 inches from the top. Cheers

Can it be used with a spunding valve for pressure transfer
@graintoglass9 ай бұрын
Yes you should be able to. I will look into this further.

I use my current one with a sounding valve they sell.

I've been trying to do closed transfers from my all rounder to the keg. The keg is full of co2 and pressurized causing the flow stopper to pressurize, the ball rises and the keg doesn't full. ANyone else have this issue?
@carlkessler3039 ай бұрын
I usually have the keg under some CO2 pressure to avoid oxygen so I have to put a spunding valve attached to the top of the unit. If not careful, you will get beer in your spunding valve.
@graintoglass9 ай бұрын
I have definitely had that happen to me. I'm going to mess around with a way to use the flow stopper and spunding valve at the same time so that the flow stopper would cut the flow of beer before it got to the spunding valve.

@@graintoglassprobally just add a long enough line between flow stopper and spundy? Will try that in the future. This will definatly be included in one of my next orders. Nice work. This is exactly how i like good content. Just hands on, in a way anyone would be able to follow and to do it themselves. See it working (or not). With a honest down to earth vibe; not everything is amazing and amazing and the end all be all. I like that

My setup is different. I am using an all rounder and the gas out on the all rounder is connected to the keg I am going to use fir the beer. I changed the ball lock on the flow stopper to a mfl grey ball lock. I used a duo tight adapter to get it to fit all my kegs gas in. On the other end I put a yellow fitting on with a 6.5 to 8 adapter. That is where my spunding valve attaches. My current brew, Skulls light using perle as the hop addition. Keg is pressurized to 12psi after 2 days fermenting. And I am already set up for transfer and my keg is full of co2😉😄
