@@pacodataco6193 everyone is critical of truck drivers till they need ANYTHING from any store…. Rule of thumb, give them space, flash when they are clear of your bumper for merge, don’t be a d!ck to the pedals that feed us and for heavens sake riding the ass of a truck does nothing. They quite literally transport the vast majority of our goods, all goods across all terrain and are continuously under time constraints that push reasonable thought. Teachers, bus drivers, safety/legal and medical professionals, and cargo haulers are all people who should be making 6 figures without a doubt.
@pacodataco6193
@pacodataco6193 2 жыл бұрын
@@sobakathehusky I'd say not all of us deserve 6 figures. There's plenty of drivers out here who wear flip-flops while driving, fueling, etc. I'd say that the only drivers that deserve 6 figures are the guys that go out of their way to help the new guys, though there's no way to see that they do that. And I agree. I couldn't tell you how many times I'd be on an onramp, turn signal on, and someone will intentionally speed up to stop me from merging only because they don't want to be behind a semi. It's ridiculous

@@pacodataco6193 We cannot make generalisations - I'm sure there are dickheads in both camps. I'm certain there are idiot car drivers who consider trucks a pure nuisance. And the other way around - I was pushed off the road twice by a truck who was changing into the fastest, the most left lane. I don't know, the guy was probably tired, didn't see me, but it was not a pleasant experience, especially with kids in the car.

1:58 - 2:26 that's not a parachute, it's a paraglider. Those crazies mess with the canopy deliberately to achieve certain effects (mostly to do with rapid altitude loss) but they are really really hard to collapse completely. Leave them alone and they right themselves and fly properly again, as we saw here. No stress at all.

Another awesome video thanks 😊 But there's one thing... About skydiving.... This is actually Paragliding and the parachute is called paraglider. We're launching from the hills or being towed by car or boat. We use thermals to travel hundreds of kilometers. What thos guy or Sheela experienced is just a little turbulent air caused by thermals. Skydiving on the other hand is jumping from a plane. Its a massive difference between paragliding and skydiving.

The "parachute" was actually a paraglider and they're literally designed to behave that way when flown into turbulence. Paraglider pilots are actually looking for air moving up which is typically surrounded by air moving down so - yeah - turbulence. That was a scary bit of collapse and a nice recovery. The pilot almost certainly has a reserve 'chute if the main wing gets really folded up.

In germany we have this mandatory "Schnittschutzkleidung" when using a chainsaw, which are clothes that protect you from getting cut by a chainsaw. - Yes, we have a word for everything! - In this tree-scene you can see why these clothes can be livesaving.

That vending machine has given me flash backs to the time I got crisps stuck so tried the crisps above and ended up with 3 packets stuck, got a snicker from the top which hit the crisps and bounced off into another shelf. Noone ever seems to have a key to open them either. Always some travelling dude who's only there once a day.

Most (not all) chain saws have a form of dead man's switch. When the handle/control is released the chain quits spinning to avoid the worst injuries. The weight behind it as it spun into him probably left some beautiful bruises, though.
@someguy4915
@someguy4915 2 жыл бұрын
@@jayneedoh5684 You usually wear protective pants, they're designed so that once the chainsaw hits them the fibers clog up the chain and stall the saw before it saws your leg off. On the insurance company part; it's fun for a week or two, after that you get cynical, then depressed... Reading idiots claiming their car flipped upside down into a ditch while it was 'parked overnight', looking at the police photo of make up traces on the airbag........

Nice thing with the line for that diver, and also it was very important that he didn't panic and he moved very slowly to reduce oxygen consumption. That's the problem with these things, there's stuff that you can't just go ahead and do, you need to know that you can do it.
