I got this treatment 2020 and I would say I saw an 80% reduction, and improvent of my stretch marks. I've spent thousands on creams, and other treatments and nothing happened. Don't be discouraged by one bad experience, I would go for it again if I could. I did take extra measures, I didn't wear any tight clothing for 7 months even when my skin healed, and I didn't stop moisturinzing with olive oil for skin until year 1. I am 4 years in and I am confident. I would do it again in a second and as many times as necessary. No cream, and no amount of self talk about aceptance would make me feel as good as I do after the treatment.

Will this work on old stretch marks?
@travelknighterrant26 күн бұрын
Hi, I'm a scar & stretch marks camouflage tattoo artist. Yes to your question - this will work on stretch marks too. Stretch marks due to pregnancy, weight loss & growth spurts. Depending on your skin tone, the tattoo artist can start with ISR ( ink less scar removal) then followed by tattooing a pigment that matches your skin tone. There will be a significant improvement. Just to make sure not to expect 100 concealment of the stretch marks. Hope this answers your question.

Glad you are going for another round. Maybe have the camouflage tattoo artist use a skin tone pigment on the 3rd round to make sure that you get the areas concealed for a longer time. Unfortunately this will come back every now & then because of sun exposure/lifestyle, age, hormones, medications we are taking, illness or one's immune system. Having a touch up is a factor that needs to be considered because even a skin tone ink used will fade over time. Goodluck!

Great question👍 If you are using ink/pigment to camouflage then a touch up is part of the equation because the minerals used to create the ink does metabolize over time & fades. We have to factor in lifestyle, UV exposure, hormonal fluctuations, natural aging and one's immune system - all of these plays a role of how long the product gets broken down/metabolized. Hope this helps.

Honestly, different strokes for different folks. Depending on the persons' skin type, some may only need 2 sessions and some need more. Hi, I'm a camouflage tattoo artist. The paramedics tattoo industry has come a long way, and medical grade, laboratory created serums to specifically target stretch marks & scars have come a long way. I would recommend to my clients that we try ISR aka inkless scar revision initially to help improve the texture, tone, promote collagen production & nourish the site. Then proceed to camouflage tattoo, this way there is less amount of pigment needed to conceal the affected area. Think of this as someone painting the walls - clean & smooth the area, maybe add a primer before rolling the desired paint. In the end, client makes the final decision. This is just how I would like to educate my clients beforehand. Hope this helps.

Based on your photo after your treatment I don’t think they went deep enough or did enough passes! From what I read online the stretch marks are dark for weeks even up to 3 months after treatment especially for POC. It has to be like this because the idea is to add pigment back into the skin. I'm a paramedical tattoo artist that specializes in scar/stretch marks camouflage tattoo. I hear your concern. I do recommend an inkless /regenerating serum use for initial treatment. Second session in 10-12 weeks will use the camouflage or pigment tattoo. It will of course be client preference in the end. Inkless/serums that are lab created & medical grade have come a long way. They help improve the texture, tone, promotes collagen formation, improves elasticity & nourish the fragile skin area getting worked on. This is like the primer when painting a wall - smooths it before we roll in the desired paint color. Less skin tone ink is implanted for the 2nd session since the texture was already improved from the initial serum treatment. Hope this helps with your decision-making if you do decide to pursue this route. Good luck!

You should’ve gotten it with ink since your stretch marks are lighter than ur skin , with ink it would have about 5-7 years with good aftercare

I’m still considering it at this point! They actually recommend this procedure first, and then the method with ink as a sort of last resort.

I dont think ink will ever match your natural melanin. I think it would have to be multiple sessions consistently to be permanent, like anything else in life really

Stretch marks/ scar serum that is medical grade & lab created have come a long way. As a paramedical tattoo artist, I personally use 2 different serums from different makers - NUE Conceal Seven or Brightening & Artemis Formula .03 - first session is with serum use only to help promote the texture, tone & promote collagen production to the fragile area. Second session is around 10-12 weeks after, I would encourage camouflage aka skin tone pigment tattoo especially for folks with warmer or darker skin tone. It's like painting a wall - serum is like primer to smooth & improve texture before rolling in the desired paint color. Hope this helps when you make your decision.

Will you try the ink camouflage?
@CrystalChavis Жыл бұрын
yes! I'm in no rush, but will start looking into places to do it in the near future. will definitely share if and when I get it done :)

Thanks for sharing your stretch marks removal journey, Crystal. Great post. I bet there's a lot close to your area. Just need to find one that does camouflage tattooing- I bet there's a lot in hour neck of the woods. I'm a scar/camouflage tattoo artist from Phoenix, AZ and there's only a few close to me. Good luck in your search!

@@CrystalChavis read a few reports that it's only temporary. It's way too expensive to keep going
@Lakshmi-mf3od Жыл бұрын
There are other places you can get it for cheaper , it may take a few sessions but I feel it’s worth the try

I feel your frustration. Unfortunately the scar/stretch marks does not vanish 100% forever. The realistic expectation is that there is an improvement for some time. A touch up from time to time is part of the journey. The pigments used does get metabolized by the body & over time it does fade. Hope this helps.

How did you get it to heal so quick? I just got mine done & have a vacation planned in 3 weeks 😭
@CrystalChavis Жыл бұрын
Lmao oh nooooo friend! I think you should be healed by then as far as the skin not being raw, but I think you’re supposed to avoid long term sun exposure for like 6-7 weeks

Thank you very much for you review!! I was looking to getting this done, but after you review I am not doing it. It’s appears to be a temporary bandaid, we need more research
@CrystalChavis Жыл бұрын
I’m happy I could help! I definitely don’t want my experience to deter anyone if they want to try it, everyone’s body is different. I just don’t have the research outside of my own results to personally endorse it.

Do the service WITH INK
@CrystalChavis Жыл бұрын
I'm definitely considering it!
@40s96 Жыл бұрын
ABSOLUTELY NOT!! It won’t match, and if you get a tan it’ll be a completely different color from the parts that’s not inked, A BIG NO!!! Continue to get the regular treatment
@adrianaguzman6408 Жыл бұрын
Hi hi!!!! So I have done the inkless treatment and have gotten some results. One reason I will NEVER do it with ink is because I’m hopeful that one day a better laser will come out. Whenever you try to laser an area that is treated with skin colored ink, you run risk of the laser permanently making that area Black/Blue. I HATE my stretch marks but I am holding off 🤞🏽
