nice and simple, but didn't work for me. Works only with one cntrl, for example, already doesn't work with cntrl in the middle(starts weird behaviour) and doesn't work if the chain is not straight.

I found a problem with this method: whenever I *squish* everything, it starts to scale the curve *up* when I move the upper control to less than 50% of it's current height. Any ideas?

Typically, I add stabilizer joints into the rig for the undesirable squishing at the top and bottom.
