Crazy to think the 1960s was so long ago now, 50-60 years have passed. A surreal fever dream of colour, fantastic music and social revolution. Enjoy your life guys as best you can, because the years go by so quickly. So many of those iconic stars, all the actors, musicians and general icons are in their 70s and 80s now, some no longer with us. And I say that as someone who wasn't even alive in the 60s - I'm in my late 20s and can't even believe the year 2000 was over 20 yrs ago!

As much as I love wing music and dancing, the choreography was so much fun too, I thought the clothes didn't do the girls justice, they were too much of a distraction and made the movements seem quite blocky.

Somebody, take those crayons from the SCD choreographers and wardrobers! I feel that props overshadow the dancing in the SCD pros' latest routines. Why? There are quite a few outstanding performers among professionals. Seeing their excellent technique will help to develop the viewers' taste. Busy props, psychodelic colors, and flashing lights won't.

Great use of color, sound, movement, and silly fun. A bit Baroque in its sharpness and short-phrase movements; the flow of 60s/70s social dancing was not quite this disconnected or this Bob-Fosse-fast. I agree there's an issue with the costumes, but only that the Mondrian-based color-schemes are over-simplified, they were usually with more zones of black-outlined color, and the colors were more often primary, not secondary or tertiary as these are. Fitting tiny moments of the Pony and the Frug into what is basically swing-dance choreography, near the end, was also a bit dizzying, that did happen to a degree (the old Chubby Checkers films show it in the Dance Party shows) but the partner-to-partner work was more open, less hand-to-hand contact, more just facing each other and doing ones own thing. I guess you had to be there...and be willing to admit it....;--}
