Katie, a broken engagement is better than a broken marriage. The Lord will settle you in His timing.
@gerryjames97205 жыл бұрын
Wisdom is what you get when you don’t get what you wanted. Especially when you marry the wrong person. Better to get your wisdom from the Word, than to spend years in misery with someone who is a thorn in your side (“in the flesh”). God gave Paul one of those, but the rest of us should avoid bringing a “messenger of Satan” on ourselves.

Sorry, but I just don't like this episode. You should have shown other sects of Christianity other than Evangelical Protestant. It would have been better to have seen the dating experience from the lives of a Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, and Evangelical, not just Evangelical.
@sheilatuano96335 жыл бұрын
Allie S, I agree. But for curiosity's sake, it was educational for me to watch the Evangelical Christians sing and dance in rock music accompanied by a drum and electric guitar ensemble when doing their worship like being in a rock concert as compared to a Roman Catholic mass which is solemn and very traditional with a priest, etc. But during the gathering of fellow Christian female youth, they were teaching about avoiding premarital-sex, which is also taught to Catholics....right time, right place, right partner...which should be done only within marriage, with one's husband, etc. Since this is Great Britain, I hope to see a protestant of the Puritan Anglican Church represented here in this episode, too.

No, it didn't work out with Jake and Katie. "Unfortunately the relationship didn't work out quite like Jake and I expected, but we've managed to stay really good friends. Jake had to fly back to California from England a week after we met so we didn't really get a chance to get to know each other properly during the filming. So now I'm getting ready to head back to England in a couple of days. I'm excited to get back to my youth work and see my family! I'll be sad to leave Jake and his family."

It's SO SAD sex before marriage has become as natural as drinking water for most Christians. When I saw most Muslim girls get married virgins, that really brought to Islam, as I realized those people take religion seriously. I imagine the huge struggle of a true Christian who looks for marriage with no sex before it, because I grew up as a protestant and fornication was REALLY NOT a big deal.
@alinagreab8 жыл бұрын
+Paulo Piula I am sorry that you are saying that. There are a lot of christian girls who have lived a pure life. And where I grew up in a christian community, fornication was a REALLY big deal and still is.

Fornication is bad & must be taking seriously! But if one repents his/her sin then he/she can get married without a bad feeling!! People who were raped are not the one who did wrong!!! The need to forgive the one who did bad to them!! They didn't sin!!! And I have met atheist couples who said 'it's the best thing to get married as a virgin to one & only person & be 4ever together. Also the first night & the sex life after is the best!!! The connection between those people is stronger.' And also people who were not vergins when they met their best partner were sad about it & suggested to stay clean till that one partner comes!! I love to discuss this kind of subjects with everyone. And that were the responses. Please open your bible & ask the people around yourself!!!!
@eb74466 жыл бұрын
There are more important things to value in life than a hymen. Purity is a shitty concept, nothing to do with being a good person.
@sheilatuano96335 жыл бұрын
Fornication should not be done if you can help it. It can be very hard if one lives in a permissive secular society. The Christian concept of the sacredness of the sex act, with no premarital sex as well as keeping the purity of the body, mind and spirit, has been delineated because of other coveted ideas of liberation and freedom and perhaps, off-shots of some sect in protestantism, and or agnotism and atheism. Those forced into sex like rape, molestations, and perhaps poverty should not be judged. They have suffered enough when their freedom and freewill were swept-out of their control. Those who uses their religion to commit such heinous crime and pretend they are righteous men are evil and a scourge to a society that is supposed to uphold the law of God.

It's difficult because it all depends on the people in the relationships. Can't say my long distance relationship will last forever since I'm young and naive and we're 1400+ km apart, but there's plenty of examples of successful ones so just like with any normal relationship you have to realise that the same scenario works out differently with different people.

what do they mean by "born again"
@vandrare783511 жыл бұрын
ah i see. But only to be clear. only because somebody is non-jewish and non-muslim it doesnt mean he is automatically christian. For being christian there are some whatever requrements (i guess stuff like baptizing) according to the laws of whatever branch of christianity....but yeah i know what you mean, so its specially activ. I understood that these are mostly protestants (or whatever you call this correctly) or is this also common for example among serbian/greek/russian orthodox, catholic etc?
@AlphaOmega88811 жыл бұрын
No. Born again means that basically *REALLY* believe in God to be the truth and the things you learned as a child you have proven to be true through your own life experience and struggles. It changes your outlook on life and requires a lot of learning and research. Only 16% of Born Again Christians believe Evolution (a theory that dismisses God as the creator). 51% of American Catholics and 80% of American Jews believe in Evolution (basically breaking the first commandment and disowns God as your creater, but rather 'mans ideas').
@JaliCreations10 жыл бұрын
SamOwenI I have to agree with you simply put to be born again is to take your life back to God. Some of us let life moments move us outside of God after that is realized. You can rededicate your life to God therefore you are born again.

Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. Proverbs 18:22 This should explain a woman is to be pursued by a man not vise versa. When you find something of value;it is a privilege to examine it. When the value of a wife is found she is the favor of God. Proverbs 31 is example of how a wife should be. And very much how a single woman mature to be as a wife.

Scoffs 🤔. These women need to look in their mirror! The love at first site, overrated. You need to know, looks fade but the way they treat you, love you, take care of you is better. Being a friend and knowing the truth about someone is better. I’ve never had a guy friend that didn’t fall in love with me. I’m so blind I don’t always notice. Treat him like a King and he will treat you like a princess. Remember how you treat someone is how they treat you. And if you can’t meet someone in the grocery store, something is wrong with you. IMO ✌️❤️🦋👸🤴 P.S. men are attracted to the color teal blue and red. Not black, not grey. Oh Katie only likes Jake because he’s an American boy and lives in Cali. Truth!

She hasn’t mentioned GOD just trying to look for a guy. So sad. How can you think of how he feels about her on one day she met him. I call it being Desperate. She needs to actually find Jesus and repent and follow God’s word.
