I can attest to that. My mother is Jewish and she's from Yemen originally. This whole Jewish/Muslim conflict is new and was previously unheard of. My fiances parents are from a city called Essoura in Morocco. Her ancestors fled Christian persecution in Europe in order to live in security under Muslim rule in Morocco. We know that some of the greatest Jewish scholars/scientists lived in Muslim Andalus and would even pray in mosques. It's extremists on both sides that are the problem.

@SY-bn3iz2 жыл бұрын
@@nyuni3322 That is not true. The majority of the Arab peninsula (Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman and all the golf states) were predominantly polytheistic believers before the rise of Islam. Secondly and more importantly you cannot force conversion. Through taxation some would convert after a while. Bit not physical force.
@NYC100082 жыл бұрын
@@SY-bn3iz It's 100% true. You haven't studied history at all and are merely making it up as you go. Even in 2022 you will find plenty of prominent and famous muslim clerics discuss forced conversion. Islam expanded only through violence (enormous violence), slave raids and forced conversions. They would attack and occupy churches, synagogues and temples and convert them into mosque believing it gave them power over those faiths. Due to the brutality of Islam original texts from Europe and other parts from the medieval times describes Mohammed and his followers as a "devil". Even Egyptian-born Muslim cleric Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi openly admitted that Islam would never have survived to this day if it was not for forced conversions and killing of apostates, slave raids and the enormous mass-occupation attempts by the Caliphates from the age of Mohammed onwards.

I think it's fine if you want to marry someone that meets your religious beliefs but it would also be nice if you told that to the person you are dating who doesn't follow your religion. It isn't fair on them either that after years spent on someone they are simply told it's over because now I need to find a (insert religion here) wife/husband. I'm betting if Richard had told Laura that he was looking for a Jewish wife she might have put a stop to their dating. The other person also counts..not just them.

They're all so disgusting and think that people of other faiths or non religious people have time to waste. It would have been nice to have filmed actual Orthodox Jews for this documentary, and the complexities of Orthodox Jewish dating. I liked the Muslim episode of this because it showed actual serious/religious Muslims, but as a Jew myself, I'm disappointed in this Jewish episode. Non-religious Jewish dating is not any different to regular, non-Jewish secular dating. So what's the point?

true, but its much more difficult for Jews who are religious but still secular cause they have to balance every aspect of what they want in a partner. they need to find someone who takes judaism seriously but is not frum (very religious) which is very difficult

These women will always center their life around their selfish ambitions and not others which is contrary to why God created her. As far as men, all men are good.

blondecat666 No you aren't Jewish. When you start being religious and believing in Hashem, THEN you'll be Jewish. If you ask Hashem if he's real, he'll let you know. Watch out for things that are more than coincidence happen in your life. Hashem speaks to you without taking away your free will to disobey him. So he speaks to you more subtly than you may think. You'll know in your heart that if it's Hashem that did it. However, you own human logic can convince you otherwise. Women are much more in tune to this than men. Women have an automatic holiness that men don't have. If you are unmarried, then Hashem will become your husband. If you prove to him that you are a suitable wife, then he will send you are a real husband. A soul-mate that you belong with.

TakeSomeAdvice Actually, it is. It's pretty complicated. According to Jewish law, you are Jewish if your mother is, or if you convert. This is it. If you are born to a Jewish mother, you can be an atheist or practice a different religion, you'll still be Jewish. When you convert to Judaism, you became part of the people of Israel

SamOwenI Except Challah isn't "Jewish Bread." It's an idiotic definition. Challah is a white braided egg-bread made from yeast dough that Jewish people traditionally eat on Shabbat (the Jewish Sabbath) and on major Jewish festivals. "Braided bread" would be a better definition than "Jewish bread" because many non-Jewish groups and cultures eat challah. French Toast made with sliced challah (with bacon on the side) is a standard breakfast item at American diners - this has nothing to do with Jewish culture. It's just a good, thick bread.

Sorry Soulmate is the most overused word - it does not necessarily mean your marriage partner.

I tried it!!! At Shadchan matched me with someone, and we finally met. I thought it would be extremely weird. I never dated a Frum Jew before. We had coffee, we laughed. The thing that concerns me most is i tell people about my experience, and they ask when is the wedding.... Not cool........ : ( ok i get it, i date simply for the reason of marriage, but can i go on a few more dates before i decide if someone is the one or not...

"She is almost perfect but she is not jewish". This is what religion makes you believe... if you are not following certain sets of beliefs you are not whole. You are not accepted. And this is why I left religion. Because I am an inclusive person and religion excludes people.

It is difficult to match well even in your religious denomination ( type of, within that faith; sect ) and that CHANGES as we mature, and God molds us. BUT, I do think it’s of GREATEST IMPORTANCE to marry in your own religious neighborhood, so to speak. Because you will want to return to your roots as you raise your children, With regards to religious studies and belief systems). Seeking God BEFORE and THROUGHOUT that process is VITAL. God has been Guiding humans for a long time! Let HIM be God❣️… But you must follow, if he will be center in your life and marriage ❤️❤️❤️

I hope since this programme was made you have found someone. There is no perfect partner out there and please don't set out to change anyone. In essence people are who they are. Your Prince or Princess is round the corner and you will find them when you least expect to.

Religion is just a set of self-imposed beliefs and rules that people install into themselves and their families. All religion does is separate people into different groups and communities. It serves no benefits to mankind whatsoever. One does not have to practise a religion to still believe in God, and be good and just. Religion should be in the background and not the forefront of people’s behaviour and lifestyles.

+Hali St. Louis, I don't mean to sound Anti-Semetic (an I don't, as this applies to every faith). But why do I (Straight, White, Christian Man), get a load of shit whenever I state "I only wish to marry a Christian girl, no Jews, no Muslims etc". Where if Minority Religious person (in this case Jew's) do it, not only do they not get shit, but if people question it then they are Anti-Semitic? Either way I'm the Bigoted one, can someone please help me out? PLEASE READ For the record, Jews can marry whoever the fuck they want to, don't purposefully try to misinterpret what I say to make me look Anti-Semitic.

You shouldn't be getting any kind of grief for wanting to marry a Christian woman. The Bible says not to be "unevenly yoked". If you are following Christ it doesn't make sense to marry someone who doesn't believe in Him.

+Hali St. Louis, "You shouldn't be getting any kind of grief for wanting to marry a Christian woman" But that wasn't my point, personally I would never marry a Jew or a Muslim, an that's down to personal preference. Either they are way too religious for my liking, or are someone offended by beliefs, an if not then they will have family that will be against me because of my own faith. But regardless of why I tend to stick with Christian/Catholic girls, I always get a lot of shit for it, I'm an anti-semite, an I'm Transphobic etc. But I've known many Jewish girls (as I come from a very Jewish part of the US), and you should hear some of the statement's that they make (regarding people marrying of a different faith), yet when I make those kind of statements I'm viewed as a piece of shit.

seems like they look for a job or a stylish outfit. how can you have so many must-haves ? love is not a logical, rational thing - that is what is so awesome about it. these people might find some "trophy partner", love never.

I love the Hassidics because they're completely bonkers. I would point out one error regarding arranged marriages. The marriages are not arranged, only the meeting of couples before a marriage is arranged and either one of them can say no if they don't think the other is suitable. Although I love these people I do have a problem with one of their ethics and that is any society where you can't ask questions must be treated with the utmost suspicion.
