Headed back to Thailand for a full-on food tour! The first stop is Bangkok, where I visited a 130-year-old noodle shop/ice cream parlor that was the oldest in Bangkok. Then it's off for some desserts and a local train market for some soup and egg yoke ice cream. Finally, I headed down to the Rod Fai Train Market for a reunion with a SPICY Mountain of meat!

Just to raise awareness, I went to the exact seafood stall that Mike passed thru in 13:51 last week, and I had the 389 baht plate as I jz had the pork rib mountain and i was pretty full. Worst experience ever! The seafood was no where fresh , the clamps could not be opened, and the prawns were not as big and as fresh as the plate portrayed. I ate that on the first day and it caused my stomach to b fucked throughout the whole trip! Not to mention that when i paid 400 baht to the worker, they refused to return the change and insisted that it was a tip for them. Srsly don get baited by the crowd like me. Jz go for the pork rib mountain near the seafood stall, it was superb and worth the price!

one tips for anyone, seafood in the tourist spot or market like this are not at good quality. If you happen to go to nearby province such as Samut Prakarn or Rayong then absolutely YES!!! it fresh and we could go to heaven just by eating one and it cheaper than city tourist spot too! my family love the fish over there sometime we drive to those province and looking for a fresh catch fish for a very bargain price.

Go where the locals go to. My friends and I found a wonderful little restaurant with a good delicious food to price ratio in the center of prague just by avoiding the tourist attractions and exploring the little streets.

My dad actually got us a xtra large when we went to Bangkok, and we couldn’t finish it. There was 5 of us! Oh and also we had a lot of random people taking pictures of the MEAT MOUNTAIN!

I’ve been going to Thailand since the 80s (married to a Thai). Somehow I missed the Rod Fai market until the last trip in 2018. It will be a standard stop on all trips going forward. Some interesting shops/vendors, and of course the food.
