When I saw the prices on the menu board, I was shocked at the prices being asked. $15 USD per half a pound of brisket, and the same for beef ribs, well here in Australia, that works out at roughly $20 AUD per 250 grams. Or 1/4 of a kilogram of 🥩 and to be honest, I was taken aback by the price. BUT, when I saw what you received and the quality of the finished product, the juiciness and tenderness, man was I impressed. I not only drooled over every item on that tray, I would have willingly paid the piper. When you take into account the original cost of the meat, the cost of the equipment and the wages of the highly trained staff, mate, take my money 💰 I said to the wife, next time we are in America, I’m heading to Texas 👍

I thought it was expensive too but not egregiously so. They charge $30 a pound for brisket. Most good to great BBQ places are charging at least $20 a pound and many are charging 25, so it's not horrible.

Just a few places in TX r exceptional. I live n of Houston and local BBQ is sub par. Often no good at all. U better off w a burger. It takes expertise to produce this quality. Price of quality red meat has over doubled in the last 3 years. Fish is even worse. I'm still grateful to be retired in TX.

@@WriterBren It's shredded BBQ pork cooked down almost into thick meat gravy with apple cider vinegar, spices and sometimes a mustard-based BBQ sauce. But recipes vary. My parents liked it far more than I did, but I remember it turning up at BBQ's regularly.

We live near Goldees and have eaten a couple times before they became famous with long lines. They really really really do have good meats and sides here. Their hospitality is also amazing. Love this place!!! Yes you get free beer and samples too while waiting.

I worked at Nikugen and I actually created and added the menu item ramen he's eating. It's called the spicy shrimp garlic ramen, I learned the recipe from a different ramen shop I was a cook for but unfortunately was closed down. Glad to see he liked my creation.
