I loved the way you played Maple Leaf Rag, and the idea of having 10 fingers instead of two hands is great to feel the freedom of playing with endless possibilities, Thank you so much

Thanks Dan for another technical challenge video lesson. It will take me at least a month of practice to obtain precision and accuracy at a reasonable speed or tempo. I like ragtime music especially those composed by the American composer Scott Joplin, the “King of Ragtime,” . “Syncopation” is always my weak point because I have hard time to stress the weak beat. I need to train my brain to be accustomed to that Jazzy accent. It will be a brain game for me surely. Thanks Dan for the wonderful video.

Good video bud, I'm currently in the process of learning ragtime from sheet music. Since I've never played that type of rhythm before, and never had to do octave jumps like that so I find myself paying too much attention to my left hand placement. It's only been about a month so far, but I'm struggling to make it feel natural. I don't want to keep looking at my left hand so I don't hit bum notes 😔

Close your eyes! You have too much conscious interference and it's getting in the way. This video will aso help, of course, but close your eyes. Strictly. Best, Dan

I love this idea. I gave it a whirl tonight and I really like the Octave, 3, Octave 3,5 pattern. Felt good on the hands. Say Dan, I'd like to contribute to the water pianism progress playlist you mentioned, but I don't see a way to add any videos, do I submit them to you in some way? What do you suggest?

Thank you for watching. The idea is that you upload your video, send me the link and I add it to the playlist. Great that you’d like to contribute! 🙏🎶 Best, Dan
