18 months later, everything you read and hear is still true. I wrote an email trying to get some sizing help, and heard back directly from Andrew in about 4 minutes. Incredibly helpful, and more importantly, it's a great boot.

It’s a bummer that Parkhurst are no longer made in USA and now cost $420. Wondering if they will ever run a MiUSA line. That said, the Spanish-made pair of Niagara’s I just picked up are a nice pair of boots.

Yeah fortunately he uses enough interesting limited leathers that the brand is kicking

Unfortunately they aren’t made in America anymore. Spain and Portugal.

Thanks for doing this interview! Nice to know all the backgrounds on how Parkhurst started. Bought my black Parkhurst Allen in December (2019) after seeing Stridewise’s review of the Delaware. I find the Allen is ultra comfortable. I often wear them to work with a suit. I’d say he succeeded in creating a dressy boot, which I find infinitely more comfortable than any dress shoe I’ve tried. I wore the Allen at home for a couple of hours and then just decided to wear them for a full work day: no pain, no blisters. 9 months later, I’m as impressed as I was on day 1. The Red Wing Williston is a close second but costs more and has other issues, whereas the Allen for me is just perfect. Really well crafted. And I cannot over stress how comfortable the Allen model is. Cheers!

Another great video Nick! And just wanted to say too, Andrew just sounds like such a stand up dude. Just super transparent about everything. And that's something I can stand behind.

Nick, this video was fascinating, I watched all 21 minutes! Being a native New Yorker and now a Bostonian, I was happy to hear that both states played a role in his line. Besides being a hunk. Andrew really know his stuff! With all your knowledge, you could certainly act in a consulting role on future designs, Thanks so much for this video.

This was an exceptional video. I loved to hear Andrew tell the story of his journey. I will be buying a pair of Parkhurst boots in the next month. I am an owner of a lot of Allen Edmonds boots and dress shoes. The Parkhurst boots have a nice hybrid look and I appreciate the quality.

Great to find interviews on how boot makers get started. This was both informative and interesting. Out of curiosity, do you own a pair of Nick's? I don't think I've seen one in your channel yet. Might be an odd novelty to have a pair of boots that already has your name on it from the get go.
@Stridewise4 жыл бұрын
Haha thanks George! I do need to get some Nick's, I find the fit process frustrating - I have to print out a paper, measure like 5 sides of my feet... I just have trouble getting the motivation but I really do need to

Great Interview, Parkhurst is def the company next on my list! Hey Nick, what is your stance on barefoot/minimalist shoes/boots? I have been looking deeper into it with companies such as Vino but i noticed something weird, there seems to be a lack of GYW footwear in that field . IDK if its interesting of an idea but it seems cool.

I thinks he’s trying to compete with Grantsone, but the quality Parkhurt produces isn’t there yet. You can tell by the upper stitching, specially on the vamp.
