This gun was probably the easiest pistol to use out of the 3 for me because it dominates in hardcore, even with the mozu operator mod I still think this was the easiest pistol to use. Basically (not counting Kap 45) Strife is for hardcore, mozu is for core, and the RK just needs a buff

I'd use the strife with a suppressor in hardcore. And fmj. Suppressors actually help a lot in hardcore. I find myself not knowing where gunfire is coming from or not even hearing it sometimes when the enemy is using it.

ddrjay I see people using suppressors in hardcore and laugh. Suppressor are completely detrimental in hc. Use a headset, even when people use a suppressor, I can still hear them and what direction they’re coming from, and it’s easier to do so.

@@davidkevin03 Thing is, if you're not using a headset you shouldn't go into hardcore as you'll instantly be on an uneven playing ground. As we have no minimap all the better HC players 'soundwhore', for lack of a better term, which is why Dead Silence is a must have perk in any HC class. Suppressors just make a different sound, I still know exactly which direction they are shooting from.

I use a headset. But still, when an enemy is using a suppressor, I cannot always locate them 100% of the time. I can locate them most of the time given the context of where my teammates are/what's going on around me. But that .5 seconds of hesitation is what keeps me from stopping an enemy's triple or quad feed. And I find myself going on slightly longer killstreaks and getting more frequent multikills when I use the suppressor.

In hardcore the Strife is an absolute nightmare to face. I need to remember to set up a dedicated Strife class for Hardcore if only to counter people using only shotguns and pistols. I would love to see the developers balance some weapons in hardcore specifically, without impacting core mode stats, and the Strife is the obvious example. When a pistol is able to completely dominate every primary weapon I would argue it's overpowered in the game mode. Excellent work as always in breaking down a weapon's stats and range, I really appreciate it!

I get very few PotG’s in BO4, but when i do it’s usually with a Strife in HC games. Every time i think “ I want to be a sniper today”, i have 0 KD for 5 minutes straight - so I immediately go to my Strife class and hit shots I couldn’t hit with a Paladin.

In HC I ran underkill for a launcher. I always do. You absolutely do not need a bunch of attachments or perks in hardcore. Constant UAVs flying around which of course give your position away and lead to bigger streaks. That is my biggest nitpick with hardcore.

From Day 1, the Strife is still amazing. If you own a Scuff and play Hardcore Control, jump shooting corners with Dexterity and a helpful trigger finger, you can get Gold in about two hours or less.

Tip: QuickDraw will change up the iron sights from red to green and the shape of them also, I find these to be better but only slightly I also use this as a secondary to a Mog 12 with choke, dexterity and Gung ho with QuickDraw on the pistol to get that near instant ADS time

they need to increase the fire rate. its too slow and not competitive. the mozu is easier to use, has a better ttk and similar firerate and the burst pistol can be spammed at close range. this gun is just not competitive in core game modes!

Only the mozu and I guess KAP 45 now are viable in core. Try not to use the Strife in core and NEVER use the RK7 in core haha that gun is a joke

Been playing HC almost exclusively this year... when I run the Strife, my class pretty much always has reflex, extended mags (for the extra ammo in reserve, actually), long barrel and FMJ 1. Never go without Dead Silence... like, ever. And Gung Ho is another crutch like no other. The remaining 3 points are never really used the same way twice

Trick to make a lot of xp. Use this, mozu, and sg 12 in HC free for all. Lets you upgrade the weapon super quick because of the ‘’One shot One kill medals’’ Really good way and fun to.

Given that the strife is already a 1 bang in hardcore I think that the shorter damage ranges should be buffed so it could be a 4 or 5 bang in up to 15m engagements to give it real value as a sidearm to snipers.

For hardcore I put underkill so i still have the rpg plus I add fast lock on attachment. I put extended barrel and fmj. Perk 1 is scavenger, perk 2 is gung ho and perk 3 dead silence. Got comsec device as my gear. That's my hardcore setup.

As I feel about the Strife is it either needs a damage buff to be a 3-5 shots to kill or a magazine buff to 15 or 17 rounds cause 4-6 shots to kill and a 12 round mag just makes it lackluster compared to the Mozu or the new Kap45. As for attachments fmj 1&2 should be the only thing equipped to it cause fmj2 allows it to punch through freaking brick walls ! Only a lmg with fmj can punch through a brick wall even then it suffers from damage loss. Well unless it is the titan with fmj 2 then it loses no damage through walls. And before any one starts about it in HC every gun is a overpowered god gun in HC.

So just to double check: using BOTH Long Barrel and Suppressor gives you more range than using neither one, right? Based on the range charts of the Strife and a few other guns earlier in the gun guides, it seems like the Long Barrel's boost more than counteracts the drop-off the Suppressor gives.

The melee operator mods are not worth it. Their only real use is killing 200hp opponents. Base melee does 145damage so the pros just put one round in their enemies in addition to melee attacks.
