is this game more to sim or arcade? ive played ace combat assault horizon and it seems to me it was hard as well fast paced game. i would like modern arcade fighter jet game but more slow pace and not a sim... can u suggest me similar games?

Ace Combat is arcade this game is a technically accurate flight be sim but user friendly as well. You see,the problem with arcade flight simmers like you is that you have no aeronautics background and if you technically accurate flight Sims like this game you can understand the theory of flight or flight physics behind it.

Hey, I've just installed this sim with all of it's DLCs, but now I have about 6 .exe in the folder to launch the game, like "SF2_Vietnam" and "SF2_NorthAtlantic", besides the "SF2.exe" itself. Is there a difference between them? Seems like they all get me in the game anyway, with the same missions, aircrafts and scenarios. Yet, for some reason, I have to set all the option settings for each of them as if they were different games (or copy the save folder).

They work like addons if you allready have any of the SF2 games and you download new content. It will just appear all in the same game so you can use only one .exe with not problems. The only bad thing is that the settings and maybe the campaign works different.

I bought the sf1 series on win. xp and it worked great......Now I have win 7 with the sf2 series and it works fine so long as you don't try to add-on craft.......The new software from thirdwire suck big time...I even tried to contact Thirdwire and they never responded......... But they didn't seem to have any problems taking the money tho. THIRDWIRE= THIRDRATE PRODUCTS.

I just wished they would put the following series of SF1 on Steam. If any problems occur, at least you have 2 hours for a refund. My OS is still on XP because I fly FS2002 Pro, FS2004, FSX, Combat Simulator, Wings over Vietnam and Europe, LOMAC Gold, Comanche 4, Gunship "Rock The Bloc", SF1, and much more great old stuff. Thanks for your rating of ThirdWire, it saved me a headache. I did wrote to them before an attempt at downloading, and like you they never replied. If I would be them, I would offer my series on good old DVD's... So long fellow virtual Pilot.

I'm using TrackIR (obviously), and I've slightly adjusted my external view .ini file to provide a little more zoom (or depth of field) for the flyby views. Normally I'd also have SweetFX running, but when FRAPS is running it disables SweetFX...
