Out of all the videos I've seen about Jeet Kune Do, this is by far the best explanation and demonstration of a Jeet Kune Do after Tommy Carruther. Thank you for the wonderful video!

As a JKD fighter, i kinda cringe at the over emphasis on fencing. There were some concepts adapted yes, but boxing and wing chun and the savate like kicks are always gonna be the top priority.
@MaxAbramson3 Жыл бұрын
@@jkdfighter4964 I didn't know that different priorities were given. I've been trying to study legit JKD from a real dojo and have always assumed that the whole "learn everything, discard what is not useful" was the fundamental philosophy. In other words, if a student found that the foot movement worked best for them and offered more benefits, that they were free to emphasize this.

Wow that was a great explanation of Sen no sen and demonstration! Will definitely meditate on this but I suspect it's a higher refinement of the basic human ability to get bad vibes from people then when you can sense aggression and lastly you can sense the attack before it comes. I didn't get this concept fully for quite some time but this definitely helped solve a piece of the puzzle!

I dare not even imagine that it would have become Jeet Kune Do if Bruce Lee had lived 20 or 30 years longer. In a few short years he has developed an incredibly successful fighting technique. He was truly a genius
Great content, very informative and clear info, thanks and congratulation !

"Jeet Kune Do was created by a genius who did a lot of research, hard work, and practice ." This is the most beautiful thing that every true fan can hear and feel true gratitude knowing how much his idol, even after his death, managed to help him in his progress towards being a better version of himself every day.

50 years gone this year. Crazy huh, I remember when my mates first brought Enter the Dragon into school and we watched it. I was 14 around 1990. After that I was hooked.. I bought all his books even though I mainly studied Karate.

Bruce Lee was my kind of idol growing up. I was attracted to Wing Chun from the Chinese movies after years of practice over 40 years ago realised what I saw Bruce playing with was almost similar. On further experience I knew Bruce was a talented and very researched man. When I became an instructor myself and teaching many students I later understood Bruce felt limited in Wing Chun Kung Fu as he reached only so far in his comprehension and diversified looking at everything he could further develop his personal fighting system. Not all Wing Chun Kung Fu is the same as it depends on a persons ability. Today I stick to the classic system of Ving Tsun as I believe and know it is very adaptable and that is why it was designed that way.

O Mestre Nakayama fala no livro sobre Kumite do Go No Sen. No tocante ao olhar, lembrei do Mestre Kanazawa que diz sobre ficar o olhar em apenas um olho do oponente, hahaha! Thanks from Brazilian Amazon region, oss!

The Wing Chun hand drills teach sensitivity so you can learn to anticipate the opponents attack and how to hide, not telegraph, your own attack. My JKD classes taught some concepts from Wing Chun that were useful...

If you want to see where Bruce Lee got some of his ideals on effective speed movement. Look at videos of Steve Sanders Muhammad. His speed and fighting style was alive and Bruce studied the movements of the fastest competitors actively fighting at the time.
It's very good. the instructors balance was found wanting at times, but he move like the wind and the birds. very good ideas. ty 4 vid.

Ajna is in the middle of the eyes. The 3eyes in a combination of Ajna forehead crown, and the Beck head chakras. The Ajna is Simply the Will Power chakra. You can read the book of mdp on that. And refer to master del pe on the most modern and effective method to develop the 3eye.

I dont know if there's mind reading technique on other martial arts.. but I found many traditional pencak silat indonesia styles that utilize that techniques. some styles event teach to watch closely to spesific points since they will give signals of attack intent.
