P90 is a longtime favorite of mine, and id love to see some updates to it, but i dont really want it “bigger” than the original. I like the rail, it can be a little bigger there since most of us have the 16” PS90, but the grip looks longer and ultimately it just makes the whole package a little unattractive to me. Can you look at making it more similar in size to the oroginal? A tiny, 50rf, 5.7 PDW?

This is the first aftermarket P90 stock I've been interested in. Mine are already SBRs, but that stock with a safety, trigger, and trigger bar? It wouldn't take anything to swap the hammer pack and barrel assembly over. I wouldn't be able to run the extended handguard though, since my can has a locking collar I have to access.

There are a few good reasons that the P90 hasn't been scaled up. 1) The most distinctive feature of the P90 (at least mechanically speaking) is the Magazine, but because the ammo is stored laterally across the gun that style of mag wouldn't be practical in anything larger/longer than pistol caliber as it would be much too wide. 2) The P90 is Direct Blowback, so converting it to fire Intermediate ammo (or even a hotter Pistol Cartridge) would require a significant redesign of the internals, and switching to a Delayed Blowback or Locked Breach system 3) FN's primary focus is on the professional end-user, with the civilian market as a secondary consideration, current P90 is consistently meeting the requirements of professional users, so FN has very little motivation to redesign or replace the current model. A P90 'up-scaled' and redesigned to fire 5.56 would require a new feed system, a new operating system, different internal and external dimensions... it would be an entirely different gun, with perhaps some minor cosmetic similarities, something like the Magpul PDR.

I wouldn't mind keeping the PS90 in the stock 16" barrel configuration for the, as James referenced, the slight ballistic performance boost. Just cover up the unsightly protruding mosquito pencil barrel dick thing poking out. Disappointingly (just got around to finally ordering a PS90 on the way after years of procrasinating for the SG-1 / Counter Strike nostalgia), I just found out the barrel is really 10" ish, it just has a completely useless non functioning barrel shroud extension P&W on to bring it to 16" barrel and 26"+ overall length that doesn't add any ballistic performance whatsoever. So even if you wanted to just cut off that closed tine flash hider at the end, P&W another suppressor compatible muzzle that is long enough to bring it back to 16" to avoid filing as an SBR. The cost of cutting it down, threading what is in essence a hollow smoothbore tube, and ensuring concentricity just to avoid filing as an SBR, really not worth the trouble. Or you know, go the crime route and roll with an unregistered SBR (because lets face it, how many off the books, under the table, grey area or outright questionable status firearms are out in the wild)

The whole point of the P90 was to be a "tank driver's" gun and all those veird rounded parts are there not to snug on the hatch while egressing. That's why many high speed low drag people hate its ergonomics - it was not made for them.
