I've just got a penn prevail 9ft with a bg 3500 on it with 30lb braid. I just bout a bone, green mackerel and a yellow and white sp minnows. Also got a few bucktails in a ounce and a half, an ounce, and had a few half ounces. But would live more from you and just pick your brain and have tsunami sand eel I think the 7-9 inch forgot which size though all this gear is because of you(as in lures being bucktails and the sand eel) I look at you as a person who I'd love to have as a mentor haha. But I just got today the fat cow 5 inch blood red split tail. So just moved to the south east sector of CT. so it should be fun. Thanks for all your videos and hope florida is treating you well.

Hey John, Big Fan. Bought all of your books, subscriber to your KZbin channel. I just heard Uncle Josh is discontinuing production of their pork rind. Any advice on what to substitute with? Thx. J.Cohen

+Jason Cohen It will be years before the supply dries up, so I'm not worrying about it now. Grubs are fine anyway.

Hi John, Is there any trick to tell the depth of the water?
@dtbs8889 жыл бұрын
Hey John, why do you always use a swivel for your leader? Why don't you just tie direct?
@JohnSkinnerFishing9 жыл бұрын
+Doug Schantz Do you mean the clip to attach the lure or the swivel to attach the leader?
@dtbs8889 жыл бұрын
swivel between the braid and leader
@dtbs8889 жыл бұрын
There's a multitude of knots guys are using to tie braid to a fluorocarbon leader (albright, double uni, etc.) and I was curious why you seem to stick with the barrel swivel?
@JohnSkinnerFishing9 жыл бұрын
+Doug Schantz My personal preference that I perceive the swivel connection is stronger.

Yes. Make sure the trailer extends beyond the end of the hackle.

@deegs71049 жыл бұрын
+Squirly Bringer 7/0 is more than enough
@JohnSkinnerFishing9 жыл бұрын
+Squirly Bringer Those are fine, but I use the longer shanked 34184 hooks. They make it much easier on the hands when handling a lot of fish.
