that reel looks brand new. just broke my Penn Pursuit IV first 5 mins of use on a keeper sized blackfish/tautog got the fish and lucky it was under warranty and got a new one. I feel like the new Penn are not as good as the older ones but maybe it was a defected one

Update: Penn fixed the Slammer for free. Penn rocks and those new slammers are smooth as butter
