Boone is on my bucket list. I love casting swimbaits to boiling stripers. Beautiful brown trout must have been close to 8 lbs. and another great vid.

I would launch from the TVa dam ramp and go left toward the middle of the lake. If you see seagulls circling go there.

Im a bank fisherman and the only water i have access to is wagner creek i see schools of shad all around there and sometimes they get chased but i dont know what to throw or if striper are even out there

Usually those are bass back in Wagner creek. however, I have seen hybrid and striper back there before. I would recommend using a shiner or a large Tuffie on a Bobber. Try to throw it in front of where they are busting. If you prefer to use artificial, I would recommend a spinner or a small white swim bait.

In general, if I’m striper fishing, I try to use 20-30lb braided line attached with a bead and swivel followed by 20lb floro leader. If you don’t have brain, then I would consider using 15-20 lb floro. It’s some point soon I’ll try and do a set up video for a striper fishing.

Yes, a few weeks ago. The water level is back to normal, but currently at winter pool.

I’m not sure the name of the boat ramp, but it’s right across from candy Creek one cover over. Currently it’s below the ramp so kayak launch only.

I would say they’re more toward candy Creek to the Devault bridge.
