Hi I love your dog sweater. I have a large beagle dog. How many chains would I need to get Started? Your pattern is so easy and amazing. I love I. Alabama. It's winter here. I need to make my dog a sweater. I have never made a dog sweater. Thank you so much. I can't wait to make my dog a sweater. Have a good day Mrs Portia Roberson

I don’t know. You have to measure on your dog as you go. Chain as many as will fit around the widest part of your dog which would be head or chest or stomach. Make sure you have an even amount of stitches. Make it the length you want up to the legs ( avoid the pee - er) To divide stitches for legs have more stitches for the back than the front ( to avoid bulkiness between legs) make sure you have rough rows so the legs can move nicely. Make a neck with remaining stitches to desired length. You can use this pattern as a guide to know the basic shape you are looking for.
