I just subscribed because I fish the Cape Cod area frequently, but I have a tough time catching striper. Just wondering if you had a favorite lure you use or even any tips for beginners on how to catch them.

You really gotta find out what they’re eating that day and it’ll depend on what you use. My main arsenal is just a top water plug/popper, hydro-minnow, bucktail or algag swim bait.
Insane vid! Around what time was the fishing like this?

Awesome video! Great catches at the canal! Looking at your description - just using 15-20# braid? Wow.. thought it would be at least 30# needed for canal for those cows!

@@Unplugged704 if you use fresh powerpro you likely won’t ever break with 20lb. That stuff is strong and it allows you to cast lighter plugs out further into the strike zone. I’d only recommend going heavier if you plan on throwing 4+ oz but I don’t go that heavy.

My favorite Offshore anglers power stick rod, I caught more fish with my power stick over my other $400-$600 Rod.

Nice stripers but poor handling of the fish and release ,after a fight you want to hold the tail and wait for them to blast out of you're hand..
@StriperPursuitАй бұрын
@@davek677 did you even watch the video? Not a single fish floated up and they all blasted out. There is no need to revive a little schoolie after you straight up yank them out of the water, they arent even using energy to fight since they’re just being dragged on top. They have plenty of energy if you unhook them quick. You only need to revive bigger fish that actually fought. Watch 11:47 and 15:05. We revive fish when they need it and even those hardly needed time to swim off.
