Hey Jon, I find that Striped bass use the warm shallows to speed up there digestive process and not to mention, they sometimes will prefer that warmer water around this time of year.

Sounds like you said Bonita often when you caught Bonito. Bonito have a great tablefare reputation. It’s Bonita (which is another term for Albies) that have the huge bloodline and only a small amount of tasty fillet. Albies (Bonita) have the mackerel pattern on their back Bontio have the straight lines and teeth

family has had a house on the cape for 40 yrs...without a boat the fishing on the cape is eh... the ditch can be a grind and crowed and you need local knowledge with tides and baits...that said the fresh water fishing can be outstanding. did you fish out east , Chatham area?

Jon i know all too well the frustration of chasing those albies. So fast! I was just down there last weekend. Actually launched at the same ramp there in falmouth harbor. Also couldnt catch them and switched to black sea bass with the epoxys. U probly stayed at the falmouth inn too didnt you? Lol. Great vid man. Love when u fish my neck of the woods

Hello Jon b I live in South Carolina we were hit pretty hard by the hurricane and there’s this lake in the mountains and it’s called lake Jocassee it’s extremely clear and it gets it’s water form small streams witch make it super Clear I think you would love to fish out there it’s truly amazing
