Harbor Freight, Hercules brand 3pc "impact rated" screw extractor set. $9.99 smallest one worked for me with a fairly small team associated 2.0 hex screw. In a very difficult location to do anything else to remove and I was able to extract the pesky stripped screw.

Da Mastercraft kit is still available at Canadian Tire, for 29.99 CAD (same thing, made in USA by Alden, it's licensed), so a lot cheaper than the Alden version that you can find on their website or Amazon.

Very nice but my question is what if u have a set screw in a pinion gear that's stripped an it's on a motor that's smaller do they make one for smaller set screws

I use them all the time on my audi when I have stripped bolts. Those extractors always work well. Did that have any locktite on the screw?

Bro. I'm tired of allen screws, all my RC models with that screws give me problems all the time. A regular maintenance always finish with the repleacement of all the piece, what is not cheap. Yesteday happened with the read axle in the traxxas UDR, I need a completely new axle now. And today AGAIN with a RC4WD gelande. I will try to find this tools in Canadian Tire tomorrow, because is so frustrating PD : Never had a issue with the Tamiya screws

The micro set is very tiny, the smallest might work. It’s handy to have anyway. But in my experience screws this small usually snap off the head during extraction attempts.

@@netcruzer I have had problems with the Stainless steel button head screws stripping out that's why I use socket head cap screws when I can and MIP bits always!

Typhon 3s motor mount hex bolt head broke off.....threaded stud still in mount with thread lock on threads......any suggestions how to remove it.... Pliers just spin on stud, factory put too much TL on threads....blue loctite stuff....motor mount is aluminum I think
