My Traxxas is a Stripped Screw Nightmare!

In this video I will be working on my Traxxas slash 4x4 which has ALOT of problems with stripped screws.

Push an elastic band into the stripped screw head and try that. Worked for me yesterday.

I have the same problem of the screws stripping out but it was the grub screw on my pinion

@@MarbleCityOutlaws no i actually ended up using dremel and grinding it down then buying a new pinion and grub for like 7 bucks on Amazon.

I have the same problem on my stampede 4x4 vxl I recommend getting a stainless steel screw set from Amazon...best $25 spent for it

The stainless screws are even softer and will round out in no time.

I found a stripped grub screw on mine and i got so lucky with it whoever out it in didn't fully screw it in and I was able to use my fingers to get it out

you need a much better set of tools and when ever you have to replace a stripped screw, put a stainless in its place. Also when you feel a screw starting to strip tighten first to break it loose then unscrew. Good luck and don’t give up it takes time to learn all the aspects of wrenching with RCs.

Traxxas use cheap ass screws.

all rc companys use useless screws on all cars, trucks, boats, etc. spend your money only to have to replaceall your screws.

Yeah what do you do when its your grub screw on your drive shaft? Fresh out of ideas

you could try a rubber band between your driver and the grub screw, or the last resort drill it out then tap the threads to the correct size.
