This video goes over how to safely remove pedals from a carbon or aluminum crank arm if the pedal has a stripped Allen key socket and is not compatible with a pedal wrench, or if the pedal has seized in the crank arm.
In either scenario above, I highly recommend against using channel locks, vise grips, or any other hand tools to remove the pedal, especially when removing a pedal from a carbon crank arm, as it can damage the threaded insert in the crank arm.
Since I removed a Time ATAC XC 12 pedal from the Raceface Next SL crank arm, I also decided to do a full rebuild of this pedal for those who might own one.
