Excellent. This was very interesting, thank you. Hoping to hear your thoughts about some of Jackson's short stories in the future (beyond the often talked about The Lottery).

What Stephan King can never understand is that we aren't killing the butterfly by examination, we are finding ways to appreciate it's life even more; indeed, we are making it feel more alive than ever.

I tend to agree. But I can definitely see where he's coming from. I feel like I can no longer go on the "emotional rollercoaster" of a book because I stop and think too often, haha.

I figured if one could crack the name of Hill House, then everything else would fall into place. Before you mentioned the locusts and Moses I thought of Milton and Mt Zion, “In the Beginning how the Heav’ns and Earth Rose out of Chaos: Or if Sion Hill Delight thee more.” I see that Mt Zion is actually a set of hills like in Jackson’s paragraph. You even get that mention of chaos and I think God would count as a nonbiological organism. I’m sure you already know but just in case I’ll say, Sion Hill is God’s House.
