She is most definitely not self-aware. She says that she had no trauma growing up, but explains how bad her mother and father were. She also says she has a lot of friends, but probably doesn’t know that these people aren’t truly her friends. Definitely not self-aware. I hope one day she sees this and begins to make some changes for herself.

I myself have never been to a strip club, but I don't understand how someone selling their body for money can "perceive" men different for paying for your product. To me, being looked at and touched by tons of men for a living is several times more disgusting than a man paying to look at and touch a woman. Especially considering the man does it on occasion, while the woman does it for a living..

Unless you're concerned about your career once your youth goes away. You may only be earning $300 dollars in one day but it's not just money you are earning. You're earning skills and investing in yourself which pays dividends once your looks go away. So you can make an extra 200 a day now or delay gratification and earn exponentially more money once you hit 35 or 40. Otherwise, you'll start earning $300 a day at that age. And you still have a whole other half of your life to live.

A lot of strippers/dancers use a number of different substances, of course, and a lot of them don't. I've personally known ones that didn't even drink in the club. Stripper doesn't automatically mean drug addict or alcoholic. It's just like how some girls will prostitute and use stripping as a way to find tricks, but most of them don't. And it IS safe to say most strippers are not prostitutes. Everyone is different and there's a large variety of different personalities+looks in that specific area of sex work(strip clubs).

Married her 4th husband who took her from stay-at-home Mom of 3 girls to strip clubs in San Francisco. She shared minimal as I couldn’t relate and worried as an older sister. Considering everything, she's got a really good head on her shoulders. She's able to identify the problems and knows them instantly, her main vice is about finding a solution that doesn't hurt as bad as the trauma she's already been through. The hurdle she needs to pass now is getting past her failure to plan, because not doing so is planning to fail. Besides sex talk, she needs to have conversations with some of the jobs about the kind of industries they're in so to afford her services in the first place. Take it from myself; my father was a jeweler and his father before him a steel welder. Both were engineers in their own right; but where it left me was back to the transportation industry as per our last names namesake; the captain, because our ancestors worked on fishing boats back of the day. On good weeks, I'm making just as much, if not more than most strippers out there. On bad weeks, I'm bringing in a minimum wage work week. All of this is figuring out your income to expense ratio, of which she needs to figure what kind of challenge she's willing to put herself out there for versus the risk and especially the reward she wants in this life.

As someone who has dated sex workers, it can be a challenge with some because the dynamic of labor, time & money between yourself & them can be wildly different. My last girlfriend could just make thousands of dollars in a “date night” and she would not really consider the time it takes for me to earn my own funds or consideration that I put into the work of handling my policyholders (I worked auto insurance accidents). Couple that with her narcissistic traits, it didn’t end well. As she seems considerate & honest with herself, I hope Cherry ends up in a mutually respectful relationship that evolves.

Exactly. My ex-husband is a master manipulator and can fool anyone. He gets away with everything and everyone loves him. He says people are easy. All you have to do is look them in the eye and listen to them. He says it works every time. He even has a specific smile he uses that melts people's hearts. I used to ask him to show me that face all the time and he could do it in command. People fell for him all the time, judges, police, etc. He could talk himself out of anything and always did.

It's always motivated by "quick, easy big money", but the diabolical truth is that for most, life will be a marathon. In only a moment, we become old, the years melt by and before you know it you're 50 or sixty with no savings, a decaying body and a bleak future ahead. You can't really be lectured about this when you're only 23. The truth only becomes apparent when you personally experience these sad outcomes. Life plays very cruel jokes on us indeed!

Truth is most homes in America are toxic - they don’t teach their kids their worth, how to have boundaries, they argue in front of their children, abuse them. It’s an epidemic. The lack of self awareness of parents breeds generations of traumatized people. I had complex trauma and didn’t even know. I didn’t live in the ghetto. It was a gilded cage though. Perfectionist father, traumatized mother. She had been sexually abused by her own dad who was wealthy. It crosses through all spheres.

To answer you, not all men are like your father. Some men want to be with only one woman and that one woman would be the only woman on the planet that could have him. He also would have no interest in anything that goes on in a strip/club but these type of men are the very men that get cheated on and looked down at. Its kind of a double edge sword so to speak.
