The Bridgerton sample he used is actually based on a melody by J.S. Bach, who used it twice actually: in his ‘Little Prelude in D minor’ (BWV 926) and in the ‘Well-Tempered Clavier (Book 1) - Prelude and Fugue No. 6 in D minor’ (BWV 851).

I really like this artist, his presentations are incredible. He gives us a unique performance and his music is elevated, his lyrics and melodies show a real social content, allows us to listen to sounds from other corners of the planet and offers us much more than the empty lyrics and absurd phrases of pop or reggaeton, which already we are thousands who are tired of listening! That's why I've been following it for years and I love it! The musical world deserves more artists like him...! Thank you for presenting this wonderful boy on your platform, it took a long time to have him, but here he is! Thank you!!!!

i hope this isn't a dig at rosalía cause i've seen so many people come for her for making a few reggaeton tracks and completely invalidating and underestimating her art. her lyrics and melodies are also amazing. her performances are outstanding, she plays instruments as well (which a lot of people aren't even aware of and judge her without knowing anything about her work). she produces most of her music herself as well which not a lot of artists do. yes, she released a few songs that were meant for dancing and for fun, but most of her music goes deep and has a lot of meaning.

Totally... he is following on from Bowie but perhaps with 😊more integrity (I am British). Come on Rolling Stone = put someone on the cover who is not treading the same, boring path. There is so much music out there that you do not cover.... just caught up in the same boring American rubbish (from British, European, and lover of music from around the world).... Stromae is the greatest international star since Bjork.... promote him.... you know you wanna.

Here in Brazil most people actually hates "Brazilian Funk" due how the pseud-producers usually mix given rythm with lyrics talking about ass, pussy and drug dealing. Stromae in other hand managed to use the only thing which can be used from this shitty musical style what is its rhythm though.

Beijos!
