Okay, so this video is PACKED with symbolism. For the non-French speakers, Stromae's basically singing about a woman's perspective in a tumultuous relationship while simultaneously talking about a man's perspective of just wanting sex. Hence the pink lighting when he takes the role as a woman and the greenish blue for the man. He also sings about the woman's insecurities of wanting kids but the man not ready to be a father nor wanting "her" anymore when she grows old and ugly. At the end of the video, the model is basically Stromae's feminine side portraying how both the man and woman are frustrated in the relationship. Everyone keeps asking "Where is Stromae? Why is he not making music?" on tour in 2015 Stromae took mefloquine incase of malaria when he visited his fathers home country in Africa. Unfortunately Stromae got the nastiest side effects of mefloquine. Depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety and so on. He went public with this about 3 years ago, and explains that's the reason he quit making music. However he wanted to leave it open whether he would make music in the future. So right now he is low profile, focusing on his clothing line and his family.
