If I recall last year you went down to the Neshaminy Creek across the street from the Neshaminy Falls train station and really didn't have much luck but if you had just a little Upstream from where you were at there is killer carp fishing definitely worth a video sometime

What do you use to catch carp? I have never caught one before.
@alanbai12875 жыл бұрын
Fishing With Ibarra when you are starting out, use a slip sinker rig with a size 8 hook and sweet corn. Chum a couple handfuls of corn if legal, and cast out right near the chum. If you are sight fishing, use pieces of bread on a small hook weightless.
@FishingWithIbarra5 жыл бұрын
@@alanbai1287 oh ok, i will try that out. Thanks

Fishing With Ibarra best tip I can give to you. Look up “carp fishing with hair rig and pack bait” You will catch a lot of channel cats too but I’ve caught some nice carp doing that. My best is right at 20 lbs
@saveamerica52655 жыл бұрын
Also since method leads are somewhat expensive use dry wall anchors and cut the end off so you can put it on your line and put pack bait on

Carp are super fun to catch. And harder to target than people think. Big fighters. Awesome vid homie
@FishingWithIbarra5 жыл бұрын
I have never caught a carp before but I have seen lots of them at a lake I go fishing at. Btw, what is the best bait you use to catch carp?
@slashgillz95275 жыл бұрын
@@FishingWithIbarra i use a homemade pack bait. Usually a mixture of shreaded wheat, oatmeal, jello powder, and whole kernal corn. I put corn on the hook, make a ball of bait with your fist and shove the hook in it. When it sits in the water itll break down and itll just be a nice pile of bait with a hook in it and they will cruise the bottom and just suck it up.

Fishing With Ibarra sweetcorn or white bread are both great baits. Just make sure your hooks are very sharp and the points are not masked by the bait.

Are carp considered a line shy fish? I'm going to start targeting carp after 50 years of fishing for everything except carp. Perris Lake in So. California is chock full of this species, the same as you've caught on this video. What would be the heaviest # test to use and still get plenty of bites. They run about 5-15 pounds here locally. Thanks Extreme Philly!

@@rafaelthe_one9088 Gar are gar they all get big. Yes my PB was an alligator gar. I have also caught a 30 pound long nose gar. The Florida gar is the smaller of the species though. I release all my gar and I don't target them. Here in Florida. Different story in Alabama and Texas. I target catfish but hook up with a lot of gar and Bowfin. They like the same things.
