Leave a comment or like is you enjoy the sidestick view !
A very difficult approach, constantly fighting against wind and turbulence. Cold Bay was one of my favorite airport for challenge approach with bad weather condition.

@@Pablofeder In P3D you can render a camera in an other window ('View' menu, then 'New View'), i creted a new custom camera position into the cokpit looking the the sidestick, then a create new window definitions to apply to the sidestick window ('View' menu, then 'Window Definitions' and 'Manage Definitions) with 400 px by 400 px size and a position that was next to my PFD (so i don't have to move it each time).

@@zaeemali9732 It's hard to answer. Both sim have their pros and cons. Disclaimer > i'm French, i'm sorry if some time my english is not good. Feel free to ask me more about specific point. I will try to answer your question, enjoy the read xD In very short it will depend on what you expect from your sim. Because both sim has been developed with a different point of view and intension. For Asobo it's a game not a tool for studying, the purpose is to 'feel' like a pilot. It's an entertertainment software. For Lockheed Martin it's a tool for studying and prepare to be a pilot. Not for entertainment. So when you go deep into sim functionality it's two very different sim. Now let's go deeper into the question. Price > For the different prices of MSFS (standard deluxe etc...), it offer a great sim, with a lot of implemented feature and aircrafts. In the other hand P3D cost almost the same (student / proffesional), but offer the same feature for different price and it offer less features then MSFS (without any addons). Sim in his basic form (no addon) > P3D > P3D come in a very basic form. Almost no aircraft and almost only aircraft from LM. By default P3D is in a very bad shape and need a lot of customisation to get a 'good' visual result and to optimise. Without addon P3D is not great / enjoyable. MSFS > It come with a lot of features, clearly a good choice to begin sim. Settings is very easy to handle and customise. Customisation and simulator flexibility > P3D is clearly the best on this point, the amount of settings you can tweak is massive. You can really customise the sim how you what to use it. But MSFS is more easy and 'casual friedly', you don't have to spend hours to try things... But Asobo want you to use MSFS like they want to do. LM want to give you the base and tools to create and customise the sim you want. That's one of the big reason i'm using P3D now. Optimisation > MSFS > Is optimisation is good actually, with some tweak you can run it at 60 fps with Fenix A320. P3D > There is still room to be optimized by LM.. You have a lot of tweak to improve performance and it work very well. Addon > To be clear, for me, scenery addons in both sim are in most case useless. P3D > P3D had actually big issue with addon developer. The mentality of developers is to update the product by doing the minima for each P3D release, without taking benefit of new P3D features. So Prety much all addon for P3D v4 and v5 looks totaly outdated because dev didn't take care to rise the quality of the addon with new P3D capacity and features. This issue was espesly present into scenery addon. Then much of addon dev' switch to MSFS cause of the massive amount of casual player/simer that come to MSFS so most dev now stop active dev' for P3D. But you still have a lot of addon and great addon in P3D that offer a lot of possibility for the sim. A lot of this addons for P3D don't worth their price at all ! Especially for scenery that look outdated. That a shame. MSFS > MSFS in the other hand is 'prety' recent but already offer a lot of addons. Most of this addon are... useless because it's scenery. Actualy Fenix A320 is still in development so i prefer FSLabs A32X. Too much unasesary addon. Too much bad represented aircraft (wrong systems implementation). Overall addon prices is fair.

@@zaeemali9732 Airports fidelity > MSFS > If you want good visual airport (nice building and infrastructure) you will like MSFS. But MSFS doesn't care of true realism, so runway is most of the time incorect. Wrong runway bearing, runway threshold missplaced, Airport Reference Point incorect, ILS/LOC missplaced, runway info not updated. Navigraph tweak navdata to work with the 'internal logic' of Asobo, but the result is that airport charts not matching FMS navdata in the sim. Runway slope is present in MSFS. P3D > Big downside no runway slope (you have to do it yourself if you want runway slope using editor and IA can't use sloped runway). Once navdata updated (using www.aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html ) airport runway and ILS/LOC is perfectly matching real data. That's one of the big reason i'm using P3D now. If P3D navdata not updated, navigraph navdata for FMS often not matching P3D airport runway. LM have a lot of improvement to do on airport autogen (building, apron and taxiway need to be remake) Weather engine > It's a hard part... And that's one of the big part that explain why i'm using P3D now. MSFS > MSFS have the point of 'simplicity', you don't need an addon to have a 'good' weather depiction But MSFS is very static on is utilisation, let me explain > MSFS use MeteoBlue, it's a good weather service, but Asobo didn't use it well. You don't have historical weather. Custom weather is... a joke. You can't set i localisation for the weather. No customisation (like in ActiveSky). Asobo still have plenty of room for improvement on weather engine, espesialy for weather transition and MeteoBlue to METAR transition. No windshear and microburst for MSFS. Gust is very well done. Correct / full weather radar feature will never come. P3D > For P3D, you have a good custom weather engine but it's tedious to use it 'corectly'. That why ActiveSky is a must have. This addon is fantastic. It offer a high level of customisation, live, historical and custom weather. Custom weather is far more advance then MSFS. The down side of ActiveSky it is use a lot of weather interpolation instead of global range weather service (like MeteoBlue or Windy). But even with interpolation it do a fantastic job. To be honest, all issue or lack of features with MSFS weather engine isn't issued in ActiveSky. Very good weather radar. Windshear and microbusrt feature. Flight model > Both sim use almost the same fonctionality for flight model using reference data. P3D have a better filling for vertical aerodynamic. MSFS have a better filling for horisontal aerodynamic. Thermal effect and ground effect is better in P3D. Visual > MSFS come with a very good visual. P3D without any addon and scenery looks sooo bad... But P3D have a lot of capacity, it is just not using it with default content (and with addon scenery, because dev do the minimum job to update it). For Volumetric Cloud, MSFS win, better optimisation and better overall look. But you can do tweak and customise VC in P3D. Even with this, cloud is to much 'static' (look the same), because you don't have a range value for these parameters. LM have a lot to do to improve VC and default scenery look for the next P3D version. You have to do a lot of work and tweak to get a good visual in P3D... Scenery > MSFS is beautiful without any addon scenery, because it use ground texture streaming with bing map. P3D looks bad withiout any addon scenery. And still with addon scenery it generaly look outdated. I'm actaly learning how to do photo scenery and autogen in P3D using FSEarthTiles and scenProc (both if free software). Once you use this software to create you'r own scenery, the sim can look almost the same as MSFS. scenProc is very complicated to use but offer a lot of possibility. Community > P3D community is dying and it's a shame cause you need to learn a lot to use it and customise it. It becaume hard to find answered on P3D features now. MSFS community is more concern about the size of windows of the airports terminal building then the correct runway bearing of airports... IT'S A SHAME ! MSFS community is full of casual simer that asking for help for things that they just need to search into manual and documentation (that doc they never read). They have tendency to blame the product, but in reality they don't understand how to use the product / aircraft, that prove how much this community is casual. MSFS comminity is more enthusiastic by the 'wow' effect of graphism more then the in depth complexity of aircrafts and aerodynamism. They whan't to 'fill like' a pilot without learning. And that's what Asobo give to MSFS simer. MSFS community jerk on screenshot of airplane on ground with virtual passanger boarding... I'm defenitvly not looking for the same features as the MSFS community. I won't gona lie i'm rough with MSFS community and not totaly objectiv on it. CONCLUSION > If you are looking for a gorgeous looking simulator and doesn't care of study level or doesn't care to have more realisim, MSFS is made for you. If you want a study level simulator and / or you are looking for advanced possibility / customisation and features, you have time do tweak it and customise it, P3D is for you (with ActiveSky mandatory). You also need to expect to invest more money if you are using P3D... I'm looking for study level and so P3D is clearly better then MSFS for me. For the futur > MSFS > In my point of view Asobo doesn't have the philosophy that i'm looking for a simulator. Most of features that i miss in MSFS will never come or won't be adjusted. Fenix A320 is still a very good project and i will come back to it once the project done. But not sure if i will switch to MSFS once Fenix A320 done. P3D > MSFS give a big slap at LM. LM need to improve things visually and give interest for third party dev to come back to P3D. Even worst i think LM have to stop to depend on third party dev for scenery and give simer the same level of visual (scenery and airport) qualtity that have MSFS have without any addon or time consuming customisation and scenery creation. I think P3Dv5 is not the result that LM wanted to give for this version and release the v5 earlier than expected cause of MSFS release. LM need to wake up or they will lose even more important third party dev (aircraft dev). P3Dv6 is for 'soon', so we will se what's going on. I have try A LOT of addon in P3D, here is the list of current addon that i use > ActiveSky (a most have, it's a mandatory addon for me, this addon worth its price and is very good). FSLabs A32X (because i fly exclusively A320 family aircraft, FSLabs is clearly the best for A320 family aircraft simulation, is price is a bit high but worth it). FSLabs Virtual Cockpit texture remplacement by HB-TEXTURES (it's free and a most have for FSLabs A32X products) RealTurb (i have all regions and CAT, a good plus but not a must have). LorbyAxisAndOhs (to bind custom keys with my Gladiator NXT FSM - GA) Envtex (realy worth it price, a good quality addons). Orbx GLOBAL (i have all of GLOBAL, not worth the price... the best is TerraFlora v2 and Vector, the worst is Building HD that i remplace for an other addon). Orbx Norway (why did i buy that...). RDPresets Autogen (I use this addon to replace building texture instead of Orbx Building HS, a must have, totaly worth his price). Addon that i have but don't use anymore > Orbx GLOBAL Building HD (just why they call it HD...). RDShade (good utilitary, outdated in some feature, it overide some custom settings that i do manualy and once you understand P3D settings files you don't need it). Envshade (good utilitary, but same has RDShade plus it can result some perfomance issue). ActiveSky Cloud Art (volumetric cloud is beter once you tweak it).
