Good video Tom. I bought the UV beast 365 V3 2 years ago based on your recommendation. What a game changer. Keep the videos coming

@@AAB371 it’s a very good like it is still my number one recommendation because Four $59-$70. You cannot get a better UV light that is as strong as one of these UV beast.. this new light is $270 so for a little bit of gain of an extra $200. It’s like stereo equipment.. there comes the point of diminishing returns. So the $270 light is just good for the person who likes the highest performance no matter what the cost.

Those flashlights are huge. Tons of power.

@@markm0000 that’s exactly why I usually don’t use the tiny handheld ones. Except that tiny Convoy is extremely powerful for its tiny size. But I lose them too easy. That’s why I like big ones and I paint yellow paint on them so they stand out under the hood

I got my uv beast and it's an awesome light but I use it mostly for looking for bark scorpions in and around my house over here in Az we have a nasty problem with scorpions and using the uv beast I can spot them from over 50ft away

@@littletreesdiy4222 yes I have seen videos of people using them to find scorpions

What if there was a way to detect refrigerant oil? Maybe some kind of camera filter? Then you wouldn’t need any dye.
@coldfinger459sub013 сағат бұрын
@@markm0000 the problem is there too much refrigerant oil’s. And yes, the oil’s self do you have a slight fluorescence some of them not all of them and they do have a certain kind of wavelength reflection. But it changes under different lights. Too many variables to complicated.. If you have the right UV dye with the correct oil base, there’s no problem. Just like some of these lights will not Florus certain wavelength dyes. We would come across the same situation where certain filters with certain lights under certain conditions would not let us see the refrigerant oil. So make it simple and stick to one strong excellent UV dye with one strong excellent UV light and always get the same results no matter what.

@@coldfinger459sub0 I gotcha. Cool that you at least tried it at some point.

@ I noticed some color output change under different lights got me interested so I started looking into it. Just turned out to be too many variables.. and in many instances, too difficult to see. Not like bright fluorescent dye.
