For World PvP the improved stealth Feral Instincts provides you is invalueable while the armor talent has a horrible scaling and won't have a noticeable impact. You should also 100% sacrifice 1 point in Heart of the Wild for Nature's Grasp if you really are invested in PVP

@@ogikay7056 with nelf you'll be in cat a lot more for pvp as your agility is way higher. also they tank better than taurens because of the dodge. also being nelf you take adv of any paladin buffs in PVE which are a huge difference maker as you don't get any benefits from the shamans on horde side. on the flip side tauren are as you said better at kiting due to the stun, and you never have to face shamans in PVP(big plus). i feel like you'll find yourself in base form a lot more as a tauren because of the ability to stun. Up to you hope this helped

@@ogikay7056 Being Nelf is NOT a disadvantage. Both warstomp and shadowmeld are extremely useful in different situations. Personally I wouldn't want to miss Shadowmeld for the stealth drinking. With full engi/trinket/others usage you do NOT need warstomp. Now for the important parts: You will not ever 1v1 shamans or paladins unless they are worse than you. If anything your chance vs shamans should be better untill you face AQ40 geared elemental shamans. Aside from that paladins actually heavily counter you in group scenarios with their dispells and freedom whilst being invalueable for WSG Fcing when on your team. Even without the hitbox issues nightelves are already ahead or at the very least evenly matched. With the hitbox making kiting significantly harder I would opt for nightelf 10/10 times unless your friends are focing you to be an ugly cow : ( I would also advise you to ignore Christopher Cano. Stat differences will have no bearing on your prefered playstyle in pvp as they are extremely miniscule.

Very nice guide. I would like to add that I had a rank 11 tauren druid in vanilla and i ran deep feral with 5/5 furor being my only resto points, and I was quite successful in BGs and had loads of fun. It's viable too.

@@Ebbnflow I was in a pvp guild. And it only worked because of the pvp gear, so you could get str/agi and int mainly for shapeshifting constantly. Also in the beginning there were no bleeds so the dps wasn't good enough, but from patch 1.7 or whenever they revamped feral, it was glorious.

my recommendation for pvp , is more into balance , i would miss omen , or full builded nature grasp ... at full build you easily get away from any hard hitting target , even for pets hunting at you ...sure on horde you got stomp and just for the case you need to cast one single heal its pretty fine , but having a fight already on low hp , nature grasp makes the difference between getting away with it , or laying down the ground ...omen of clarity sure is a kind of rng proc , but during pvp the whole day it makes the difference between high burst (cause free cat bites xD ) or low suistant dmg ...with you playstyle you are pretty good against other melees , with a save kill but a high kill time...go into balance and you will rip healers into pieces :P ...oh and before i forgot , natural weapons is perfect fpr any feral too ...at the end of the day it depends on your playstyle ,according to you , who opens in cat , and shot stuff to dead ,you get pretty save with your build , thats out of question , but if you get more into cat playstyle you will need balance ,especialy if you focus more on healers , or more the kind of druid going after soft targets , which means any caster :) ...iam btw total with you feral instincts is meaningless , if you learn how to stealth correctly , but if you still run into any guy straight infront of them you need it ...so some comments makes no sense , or show a lack of knowledge how the stealth mechanics work ....for anyone reading it , if you stealth behind some , you always get the same close range ...stealht in front and the talent shows its sweetness ;)

Unpopular opinion here, but I feel like this build doesn't do anything well but solo PvP and flag carry.. and there's no WSG till Phase 3. In group PvP, you'll never be in cat form, so a lot of the feral tree investment is wasted. Natural Shapeshifter (30% cheaper shapeshifts) has a similar effect as 20% more Int, but at a fraction of the investment. A more traditional 8/11/32 gets you more. The extra boosts to your healing from Gift of Nature and Tranquil Spirit are much better in raid healing than 20% Int anyway. And it gets you Swiftmend, which saves lives. Still liked your video though, because you do a good job of explaining why you're doing what you're doing. Appreciate the content!

RPGabe no offense but you misunderstood the build and reason. This build offers 2 things. For 1, as even he pointed out in the video, mana is important early on so Heart of the Wild is a must! 2, this isn’t a main healing, tanking, or dps build. It’s a hybrid, or even trybrid, it strengthens the thing Druid is good at which is versatility. You can heal, dps and tank with this build and never have to respec. You can world pvp, solo pvp, do battlegrounds, flag carry with this build and never have to respec. Not saying your wrong but there is a reason for this build . You reference cat being the reason to go down feral but it’s not. He even says you barely spend time in cat, outside the opener.

On Retro-WoW, Rogues always seem to see me first in stealth when I don't have points into Imp Stealth. YMMV of course.

Rogues have a talent that decreases there stealth detection, and it's the first row so they get to dump 5 points into it where as druid most talent builds only have us put 3 points into feral instinct so rogues will most of the time find us first.

There's also humans and hunters that will easily see you. This is one of those spots where being a nelf helps a little... no humans and racial is worth 1 point. I get the feeling that as resto, getting opener just isn't that important. Healing lets you reset the fight after they exhausted all their energy and abilities.

no natures grasp what ? even if u fight a slow hitting meele, its not like they only auto attack, its more like auto attack + mortal strike or somehting. so like 50%+ chance to root him before he does critial damage to you, also if u have a melee on you, you should be in bear and tanking 2-3 hits in bear shouldent be a problem. rooting a melee with a cast in caster form is your death. also in a 2vs 1 scenario fighting two melees, idk why you would ever not have at least have 1 point in this. i played a druid in vanilla and i cant understand your choise at all.

Not a dumb question. You need to find a balance of gear. personally I like to take stuff early on that has a lot of stats, if you look at classicdb.ch/?item=13378 classicdb.ch/?item=16719 classicdb.ch/?item=14503 these are all good pieces to grab for early pvp, as they give you a little of everything and help you out big time with getting attack power but also keeping a good mana pool.

I've been contemplating on druid builds and it's come down to me pondering on natural shapeshifter vs hotw. Shapeshifter gets a lot of praise for enabling shapeshifting in pvp, but isn't it just 30% off the base mana cost for shapeshifts? Meanwhile hotw stacks with your intellect(?). You would have to shapeshift a lot for natural shapeshifter to pay off, right? Not to mention the other benefits you give up by going into the balance tree.

For pvp there won't be much success in solo pvp, the reason for that is for once your casts take ages so you most likely wont get many cast off, aside from instand casts. If you go full balance i.e. Moonkin form you won't have much fun with grenades and insect swarm since you can't use either in Moonkin form. On the other hand in grp pvp you can shine by trying to stay back an then nuke them with starfires/wraths and dots and do a bit of off healing the team.

I do not agree with the talent choices. 1 point in primal fury is much more impactful than another 2% armor. And the second point in improved enrage is more impactful than another 2% healing. You spend a lot of time in bear form - basically against any melee.

unlike rogue's eviscriate , feral druids fericious bite stacks with ap. i was critting 4k clothies.

i always go 2 blood frenzy and 1 in primal. The extra combo point for a opening is nice just means your rip will be stronger and you get crits very often in your opening so you can just 3 point rip, insect swarm, and moonfire. 1 point in primal because there is not much value in any other point imo, imp shred only good if you put 2 points in it because if not it messes up powershifting. I also put 4 points in nature focus and 2 in imp enrage. I find nature focus really strong vs hunters, and if i fake cast a shaman who try and melee you as ele i will just be able to cast regrowth or ht, in there face (if it procs 54% chance is high though so it's very often). I take improved enrage because of rogues, good ones will always try, and force you out of bearform to get kidney off which is why they normally just sit on you with evasion and during this time it's very risky to leave form because they will 100% kidney. You have a few options here you could either use a limited action potion (which we won't have till ZG), trinket or sit bear, and try to outlive evasion, with frenzy regeneration this is why i got the talent because during evasion you cant get rage from autoing them or less lucky, and the only source of rage you get is from being attacked by the rogue but it's little amount compared to what you get from being able to auto. I also find this talent some what okay vs pom/fire mages, i try to pre hot my self after opener in cat and just sit bear to get a lot of rage from talent so i can just frenzy all there burst forcing them to early pom which is great if you have fire reflector, and also good because they oom even faster.

Ooo, I like your explaination for a lot of these, natures focus though... wont you miss out on reflection!?! I would think you would find yourself ooming quickly. Ever use barkskin against hunter for the pushback immunity? You have to deal with the longer cast but that is enough for me usually to get off my hibernate or my regrowth casts.

@@Ebbnflow Yeah i use barkskin but vs hunter that matchup can reset so much and sometimes i need to heal while barkskin is on cd vs them so having a chance of not getting my regrowth pushbacked is always nice. As for reflection I don't find my self going oom much from healing myself, even tho it is expensive but what really adds up the mana loss is shapeshifting that's something i do a lot more so then healing. The only way i've been able to deal with it was to get 5-6k mana, and rune of metamorphosis from BWL. I can see reflection being good in group pvp sense feral isn't really that strong in big fights, and healing becomes the best option.

can annyone tell me how good 14/32/5 build is in pvp? i really like cat dps and to farm around when im not pvping. will 14/32/5 be good enough to pvp with it aswell?

It will definitely be good enough. It is more viable in pvp than 0/30/21 is in raiding/pve

@@thecsslife It is really bad in PvP as you'll just be a neutered rogue with 1800 mana. Also, HotW/Resto is not bad in PvE at all, especially early on where the net mana gain is way more than the mana you save with Moonglow. So it's far from being more viable for PvP than HotW is for PvE.

Ty for the nice Videos mate :) . I had my mind on playing Priest but i will stick with Druid. Its like you said in your pro and con Video. When you play a Druid and then you play somehting else , you feel less ^^. You get used to to kinda do everything and i rly want the challenge. And i can relate too , i am horde player and i hate that i have to stick with tauren >.< . I miss my troll druid allready ^^

This build is good for flag carrying. But I feel the full balance hybrid build is way better for world PvP.

Just depends on what weapons I have access to. I pvp with maces often as some of the best druid weapons are 1 and 2h maces

@@Ebbnflow Ive been so used to leveling without it. Haven't lost a fight in WPVP yet. Maybe at 60 it'll feel necessary, but I don't know yet. Ive been able to force cssters to go oom and melee I just sit in bear/dire bear.

This is still a really good PVP build! The idea of HotW/NS is that it gives you most of the feral tree (survivability/damage) plus an instant heal. You just pick the talents to fit your play style, only thing you really miss out on in feral is leader of the pack. Also, youre gunna have to do at least some PvE for gear ;)

Yeah this build is by far the best pvp spec for the first few phases of the game. It also helps that its decent in PvE!

@@Ebbnflow I don't like your rationale for choosing Blood Frenzy over Primal Fury. The solo PVE feral is not what you're speccing for, its pvp/pve resto. While speaking about tier-four, feral talents you mention your play style is more aligned with spending a lot of time in Dire Bear form. I'd think you'd prefer the rage over the energy based on playtime in each form and potential for damage.

I really don't like that type of play style, I prefer to max cat form extreme burst. Your spec isn't the strongest, it's just a hybrid spec.

You cannot beat speccing into ns for pvp. Doing so will also increase skill cap though and the way you play.
