Congrats on a great day of fishing! Those hybrids fight hard. I appreciate you showing how you had your bait rigged. Tight lines and thanks for the video!

@@Paul_T843 absolutely! My favorite local species by a mile! If you happen to be local, I’m working with game and fish to get more stocked soon so let me know if you wanna help the effort!

That's cool you are doing that. If I was local I would definitely be interested in helping out, but I am over in North Alabama. I'm hoping to try out some of your rigs out by the Guntersville Dam if I can get back out there. Is there an ultralight surf rod you can recommend that's around $100-$150? I'm hoping to save up for a Daiwa Ballistic and a descent rod to put it on to use for dam fishing, or anywhere else I need to make long casts.

@@Paul_T843 oh you’re in Richard gene’s neck of the woods! Guntersville is an amazing dam. To be honest, I’ve broken every other rod I’ve bought that was cheaper than this one, for $250-300 it’s the best for sure. I know Okuma makes the rock away, which is a great light surf rod in your budget range until it breaks, but I’ve broken two of them so I will say they are somewhat fragile. I’ve heard good things about “ninja dagger” rods, but I have yet to use one. But they’re only like $150 I believe!

Yeah, it would be cool to run into him one day. Thanks for the input on the fishing rods. I may just have to save up a little longer and try to get the one you use. I was looking at the Daiwa Saltist Westcoast 2-Piece Spinning rod too. Would you recommend the Daiwa Ballistic reel? The reviews I've read seem alright. I was thinking of getting the 3000 size.

@@PJSaquin yessir! I’m leading an effort right now to get more of these hybrids stocked. You should have seen it here 5-10 years ago when we had thousands of them!

The 9 UL is my favorite rod for schoolie striper and flounder.

@@mcdude3005 it’s my favorite rod for casting anything over 3/8oz! I’ve had the 9,6” ultralight for about 3 years now, caught hundreds of fish including big heavy fish like large gar out of heavy current. Never had any issues with it! Can’t beat it for the price

Honestly, i don't know about your rods, but i'd suggest you try ukrainian Favorite Fishing - specifically Black Swan rods. For me - they're the best in their price range. The rigidity of it is top notch and the weight of the rod is phenomenally low. And the sensitivity on them... oh god, dont even let me start.
@AikenAngling4 ай бұрын
@@AndrewAbashidze I will definitely check them out! The problem with buying rods online is I don’t get to hold it first so I never know if I’m gonna like the rod or not. But I’m always looking for one that could beat mine for the price so thanks for the recommendation!
