Regarding bracing, you can create a Framing Elevation: - Go a Plan ie Level 2, - Zoom to bay between 2 steel columns then >View >Create >Elevation > Framing Elevation - Select the Gridline.

Yes, Levels are 3d but you can change them to 2d in every view excluding 3d view
