Mario, Good move, When your stick Weldog, Make sure you learn 6010, And how to whip & Pause, your run in 7018, For structural, But when I 1st learned how to Weld, I had to do all my positions with 6010 or they call it P5, I don't know how they teach today on structural, But I recommend you learn 6010, Good luck, And be patient, That might get a little frustrating at 1st, But never give up the fight! Later!

Is flux core inherently bad for structural rigidity it is it dependent on wire and welder?
@jetweldingllc4691
@jetweldingllc4691 3 жыл бұрын
Chan, Flux core is for high production welding, You could see in the Videos ,when I use it for certain proceedures, Certain thicknesses of steel, Basically anything over a 1/2 inch thick and there's a lot of welding for the procedure that it calls for, There's a time for stick welding, And there's a time for flux core, I hope I answered your question, Thanks for your comment!

@jetweldingllc4691

Dina, 7018 For everything 1/8 5/32, If I'm welding galvanized I'll have some P5, Or 6011, For the root pass, To burn the Galvanize out, That's just me, 7018 Is the rod for the structural ironwork, Welding bar joist, Some steel erectors supply 7014, But everything is done by 7018, On the new job everything I'm doing is flux core NR305 5/64 Lincoln, Have a great night, Thanks for your comment!

Mario, That's why I use NR 233 My Spools, finally showed up, But the contractor was supplying the wire, And sometimes they have old spools to just get rid of them, Touched it with a grinder, Through NR 233 5/64 Over it, Perfect

@jetweldingllc4691 3 жыл бұрын
Mario, It's amazing what you can get away with, When you have porosity, Worm holes, You have a Lincoln wire with 5/64 Diameter with the right heat, And A guy that can Weld ,can pull off a lot of magic, In this business you take chances, Sometimes you win, And sometimes you get hit with a check, Later, Be safe, keep on Welding!

Why do use 233 5/64 wire it is a want to be wire of 232 I have used both wires I would take 232 072 over 233 any day 233 is a slower wire to run
