I went in thinking it might be a fun show because of the cast, but did wonder who it was being made for and did we *really* need an Agatha standalone series? Then when it came out how small the budget was, I thought "Yeah, okay - why not?"... and walked away thinking it might well be *the* best MCU show to date. I'm wondering if they'll make whatever's next as a mystical trilogy passed from Wanda (WandaVision) to Agatha (Agatha All Along) to Billy (Children's Crusade?). I feel like Vision Quest wasn't envisioned as a mysticism series and wouldn't want it to be hijacked. Since Tommy wouldn't wake up with a sigil, thus no overt amnesia, I can hope for a tweak of him seeking out White Vision and becoming part of his adventure before Billy catches up to them in Vision Quest.

@bajansamurai Altough you COULD claim VisionQuest would be hijacked, you could also say the shows themes are centered around Wanda and Vision's story, not only mysticism. Having AAA be about Billy makes sense due to their shared magick, but Tommy has no mystic abilities. Making Agatha about discovering Billy, then Vision about discovering Tommy, would make the trilogy more about family than mysticism, and I think that fits tonally with what Wandavision originally was all about.

Tommy's presence also humanizes Viz, so I'm down for that. Just didn't think that series would be Jac helmed so if they're free to do a series the mystical trilogy would be technically the 4th installment of the Maximoff family franchise.

Actually Wanda's boys affected Agatha more than she knew because of Nicholas. Agatha slipped and told Lilia her secret (probably because Billy was there) so when she tried to steal there magic, Lilia called her out and stopped them from blasting her right before "the road" appeared.

From what I have seen, this IS season 2... of Wandavision, and that VisionQuest (in 2026) is the follow up. How much that relate to Tommy I am not sure, but it would make sense that White Vision would eventually look for his boys. Especially if he knows the truth.

I agree. The original Vision is dead. West View Vision is as real as Billy and Tommy. White Vision was an empty vessel who now has all of West View AND OG Vision's memories. He's going to crave a family. Vision Quest will be act 3 of the trilogy. (A lovely aside of this? We'll get to see some of the wonderful ensemble cast from West View again. Norm. Dottie. Herb. The Mail Man).

The rumors are that Tommy will debut on Vision Quest who starts filming 2025. Maybe Billy and Agatha will appear in the last episodes and they all reunite to rescue Wanda. Wonder Man will also premiere on 2025. He's part of a love triangle with Wanda and Vision. I think in the MCU they might do that he got his powers from the Hex and that's why he feels connected to wanda. Just like she and Vision were drawn together by the Mind Stone. There's also The Hood as the main villain from Iron Heart. In the comics he's connected yo Dormammu and Mrphisto. And is rumored that Mephisto will debut on the show. Kevin Fiege is cooking man.

I like how the show uses what we are familiar with from wandavision, and make its own thing. I think the fact that wandavision uses a lot of 'changing styles per era' helps in making the format of agatha all along become more interesting because of how that was a risky move on its own for wandavision. If they hadn't seen how much people loved it, we might not get both this show, and the magnificent designing of it too

The series was conceived as a miniseries from the start and, like its predecessor WandaVision, is a one-off. But she will definitely appear as a babysitter ghost for Billy Maximoffs in The Young Avengers and finally she has the white gray hair like in the comics and she also worked as a babysitter for Reed Richards's child in the Fantastic Four.

Something I’ve seen people miss is Agatha’s belief behind why she and Nicky can’t join a coven is that her only real interaction with being in a coven was the one she grew up in that tried to murder her off the jump. She learned the hard way to not trust a coven and carried that with her and taught it.

I don't think it was confirmed in the show, but it's implied that the original reason Agatha was draining witches of their magic was to keep Nicholas alive since he was so sick. So when Nicholas asked, why do you kill witches and Agatha says, "..to survive" she meant so Nicholas could live longer. Once he died, though, Agatha pretty much said fuck it and started draining witches for power.

Agatha was killing those witches for their power, but also to keep Rio busy. She did the same to keep Rio away from Billy. Once Nicky was gone, I think she killed all those witches because the power made her feel something. As was said in a comment below, a coven was the thing that could have saved her son. 😢 Thing is, Agatha insulted people but she didn't attack them. She chose to keep draining them, but THEY chose to attack her each and every time. The only death she acknowledged was Alice because Alice tried to help Agatha. She died ultimately to keep Death from Billy.

I did not expect to like this show this much, but it's easily top 3 D+ show from either Marvel or Star Wars for me after Loki and Andor (I actually like Agatha more than WandaVision). Death clearly kept Nicholas alive so long as Agatha provided bodies. The night Nicholas refused was the night he passed on. Yes, Agatha is a witch killer, never forget that - but she initially did it out of love. Once that love was lost so was she. What a wildly tragic character man. I liken Agatha & Nicky’s dynamic as a parent who has a child born with a terminal illness. You know they’re going to die. There’s really nothing you can do to save them. Conversely, Nicky is always sickly, as evidenced by his pale skin and dark circles under his eyes . When he sings the ballad, he is coughing and looks tired. Maybe he knew his time was coming and that’s why he didn’t go along with the plan. He would rather spend his last night snuggled next to his mom by the fire. Because if he had gone with the plan, they probably would’ve had to pack up and leave in a hurry. When Rio shows up, on an intuitive level, he knows why she is there and that’s why he isn’t scared to go with her. Not all but some terminally ill kids tend to have a greater acceptance of death than maybe their parents who always want more time and for their child to grow up. Sometimes these kids will hold on to life for their parents even if they are tired and ready to go. Meanwhile, because of Agatha’s trauma from her mom and the coven trying to kill her, she doesn’t trust witches. She pretty much says this to Nicky. While she loves Nicky, he is useful in luring unsuspecting witches to her. That’s why she says “we can be good at this,” after attacking that first group of witches. They didn’t see Agatha as a threat because she had a sickly newborn baby with her. At the end of the day, Agatha loved Nicky but she also had no qualms about killing other witches.

She and Rio never made any deal and she said she couldn’t divine when Death would return. Before he died, Nicky was clearly sickening. Sometimes…boys just die.
