I was also diagnosed with MDD & I have a condition called pseudotumor cerebri which many of us have anxiety/depression. Anyway Ashwaganda is very helpful...They had me on Zoloft but I don't like how addictive those are and when you try to stop it causes suicidal thoughts.

Sister Miriam I understand, I just lost my wife and dog on the same day back in November and it was a struggle, but with God I have peace because of the suffering she had endured a long time. I took time away from social media as well. Nothing wrong with seeing a councilor at all. That chicken looks delicious 😋

Mental health affects so many people and many people are afraid or reject treatment because of the “stigma” behind it whether it’s from teachings from family or others. I think it’s a great healing experience and I think more people should seek it. Praying for you and all of our mental health as well God Bless. Don’t be afraid or ashamed get the help and assistance you need🙏🏾❤️ nothing wrong with it at all. The only way to be happy and spread happiness is to be the best version of ourselves. Love and blessings everyone God Bless🙏🏾❤️

That's awesome. I lost my father at the age of nine and I didn't know that I had abandonment issues until my fiancé passed away decades later. I was so detached from God because I felt He took two of the greatest men of my life away too soon without warning or preparation. We need more god-fearing therapists, which is why I decided to coach. I certainly respect this post! _The wings are lit!!!_

I wish everyone would go see a therapist instead of changing completely the way they are thinking it's helping or fading away the pain and the trauma. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I want to point out to everyone who already have one or want to go see one, it is VERY important to be honest and say everything to your therapist. DO NOT HOLD IT BACK otherwise they will not able to help you adequately. Some people hide and lie to their therapist because they are too ashamed or uncomfortable to say things but you got to and they will NEVER judge you. Also, cry as much as you need to there. YOU CAN DO IT!!!

I went to better help for assistance and they said they were looking for the right therapist for me and they never reached back out to me. At that time I was dealing with suicidal episodes. The fact that it took me 3 months to find help (on my own) is wild. When they say, “you need to find help.” But the help literally doesn’t respond back to you when you are searching for it is crazy. Not even my employer got back to me. That literally made me feel like maybe that was a sign for me to dip out ✌🏾but I gave it another go. Finally found someone and it’s helped some, so as far as better help…🤷🏾‍♀️happy it worked out for you despite my experience with them. 💛

@@cyyrious taking it one day at a time. That’s all we can do. Like anyone one else, I have good days, bad days, and days where I just want it all to be over lol I know many of us can relate to that, but there has to be a better way for people to obtain the assistance that they need during critical times. Everything is so expensive nowadays, so to pay $80-120/hr for a session is wild. Let’s me know that I cannot afford to be depressed 🤣🤣 (Gotta laugh to keep from crying)

My mom having an absolute meltdown in the funeral parlor when her baby passed..It was the most traumatic experience of my entire life, and to this day, I cannot attend one, and don't want one for myself.. I can't watch a funeral scene on television or movie..And experiencing many deaths of loved ones to AIDS and substance abuse… I have such a major fear around death, and since it's inevitable, I can't cope at times…

Miriam you are such a jem. I really appreciate you opening up about the issues of mental health and addressing your mental health. I have known for years that mental health issues ran in our family. We had family members with serious issues. The shame and stigma that attach it's self to mental health is hindering many people from seeking help. It's a lot of help out there. Many cities have agency set up to provide assistance and to guide the citizens through the process of getting help. One should reach out for help. Please don't wait till a mental health crisis arises.

Years ago it took me almost a year to talk a very good friend of mines to get mental help . She has a very high paying job , beautiful home , car , etc . But she stays in a state of depression. I tried doing what I could do to help her , like listening, etc . She knew I wouldn't take it any further. Finally she hooked up with a psychiatrist. Whew ! The first day she went , she called me crying after she came back . She said the psychiatrist fell asleep on her after only 15 minutes or so !! She said she got up and walked out . She never went to another one , no matter what I said . I've lost contact with her long ago because she was wearing my sikey out ! Please excuse spelling . I pray for her and everyone who needs help will find the right psychiatrist to talk to . And or a trusted friend also . ✝️🛐

Hello Ms. M., I miss seeing you on here. I'm also struggling with mental issues. But God is good. Be blessed and hold onto his unchanging hands.
