Struggling To Attend My First Truck Show! 😲

I’ve been driving trucks for 34 years already but I never once been to a truck show, but I’m happy to see that you had the opportunity to go to one. Hopefully 🙏 I’ll be able to go to one someday.

I drove OTR for 10 years, I learned to double clutch when I was 15 when my dad hauled logs out of the woods to a sawmill. I drove once going into woods and pulling loaded trailer to the road. The sawmill was on a back road dad would let me drive once we got to that road. It was ford cab over with a 10 speed tranny and a 40 foot flatbed. That was in the early 1970s. I also learned to drive a 2 stick GMC straight truck.

I wish I had a nice brand new kenworth to drive .. I drive a 2017 KW.. for 3 years.. as long as I get the miles and pay I geuss.. just sayin because you should feel lucky to have a new truck to drive..

Right hand stalk(gear selector switch) is more than likely bad paccar is having a bunch of issues with these. Seeing a lot of this issue come up in the shop.

Its a fuel particulate filter getting full that causes it to derate and requiring a regen!

Oh wow would have been nice to show up at that show as a fellow american would brought Becca a burger .I had my 2 duahgters in town for fathers day we had a blast . I'm sure your parents are proud of you guys . It's people like us that keep this country great .As for me just thankful I can still work I take it day by day . My transmission did the same, the ecm computer on the Transmission was bad, they sent it ti the United Kingdom took 3months to fix

I know that a regular flat bed and drop deck are different but which one is “better” and why? Not a trucker but the industry fascinates me. Really enjoying your channel! Keep it up and safe travels!

A drop deck let’s you load higher loads. Yup can load machinery which is usually high. You can buy drop decks that the decks are 40 inches from the ground. So you can use ramps to drive things on it. The drop deck lets you carry a lot more different types of freight. I hope I answered your question.
