Thanks for the videos! Just started streaming on twitch a few weeks ago and I have been following your tips. I only have 15 followers but in the past two streams I have received 5 new follows and my last two streams I saw an increase in viewership to about 3-4 and I had a peak of 7 viewers.

Small question, if my video is being recommended on youtube to new viewers, will that make my audience retention lower by default due to new viewers clicking off sooner or is it my video?

It can be both, but KZbin is smart and will understand if the video goes out to lots of new viewers that it isn’t a bad video, it’s just going out to new people. Still aim to improve though :)

When people say you need to provide value after the viewer clicks, does that mean like, if the video title is like "3 worst games of 2023" as soon as the video starts should should i play a clip of some bad glitches from the game etc. so the viewer now feels like i wont be wasting there time

Nope, just quick animated keyframes in Premiere Pro, any decent editing software will do the same :)

Lot's of recommendations. First a good thumbnail is important. Many thumbnails I have been attracted to click on, but as you say, the presenter must deliver. The thumbnail showed an animal doing something. The entire video not only did not show the action, but that animal was not in the video at all. I no longer click on cute thumbnails. No matter how good they are. You mention the typical ad type slogans and phrases, hooks, loops, bait and switch. I no longer like those videos. Infomercials are an example. If someone is using persuasive means for me to watch the entire video versus just showing the content, it reminds me of the despicable commercials that say "But wait! There's more !" I have seen so MANY videos that for so many many seconds, minutes . . . saying ". . . in a moment I will show you the best things to eat that will make you lose weight. . ." Then they go on for minutes describing how smart they are, the schools they went to, the other techniques they have developed. Blah Blah Blah sis boom bah ! So, when I watch your videos, it shows me what videos to NOT watch, not because of the fluff they took out, but the blah blah blah sections before getting to the point. Talking fast for example is NOT conducive to keeping my interest. If I have to rewind the video more than once, you get removed from my list. I have to watch your videos more often. I forget everything I find out. If I write it down, then I have to pause while I am writing, then I forget where I put it, if paper I file it somewhere, if on the PC I save it in a folder that makes sense at the moment, but forget where it is. I am at such a disadvantage compared to other people, there is little sense to keep trying. I am just going to keep making my videos and refine them a little as I go along and hope for the best. Thank you for the information. I am going to have watch many of your videos and try to get those lonely two active brain cells to store the ideas.

Pin number takes it a while to deliver, took me a good while before I got mine. I just submitted support tickets and followed their steps, it arrived eventually, but not much I can say sadly.
