I honestly have no words to describe about how valuable this video is to someone who wants to start a freelancing career! There are several other methods to get clients too but this one is more fun and engaging. I knew all these points you mentioned, but to have these all in a step-by-step manner is very helpful, especially right now when I want to start again and get better clients because if i don't have a systematic way to do things, i end up wasting time on the internet instead of working to get clients. Still in the process of finding my niche because I like to do a lot of different things, but one thing is certain, that is, to start again. Thank you so much Abi! Well... 1) for me personally your videos have become _over_ edited. 2) Your "A" logo/clickable icon in the corner of your video IMMEDIATELY made me think of Angie's List, which used to be just Angi for a very short period, as their branding has gone through so many changes over the last few years, but They're Identical! 3) KZbin alone must contribute to at least half, if not *more,* of your financial success! Even w/o the business. 4) This Video Is Delivered Very Well With The Points Laid Into A Good List Perfectly & Will Be EXTREMELY Helpful To A Lot Of People! One thing I try my absolute best to look for is _honesty_ in people! It's harder and harder to spot. But it seems like you and your deliveries are HONEST. Which is the biggest deal for me. So great job at ALL that you're doing and all that you've accomplished so far! And kudos for sharing what you've gained and learned from your experiences with the world! In return you're getting all of that back, returned to you through KZbin and business success!
@abiconnick Жыл бұрын
1. I appreciate the feedback and will make a note of it, to an extent you have to play the KZbin game in order to be successful on the platform 2.I've never heard of Angie's list so I will have to have a look as our logo is trademarked 3. Honestly KZbin doesn't pay anywhere near what people think, (it's been great for attracting clients, but in terms of the ad revenue it isn't anything substantial) 4. Thank you, I appreciate the kind words!
@tiffanylockett5950 Жыл бұрын
@@abiconnick Wow, REALLY? I actually thought it was a link to get to Angie's List. Yeah, check that out! But I don't think they use it anymore. Regardless, though, if you even Google it, you'll see that "A" in that exact style come up. Noted. As far as KZbin's ad revenue. I just know a few people who do it solely for a living and they're making more than most people I know. So I don't know the differences between one successful channel and another. I'll try to look into that more, just so I'm not left to assumptions. Thank You!
@abiconnick Жыл бұрын
@@tiffanylockett5950 Just released that's our old sub mark logo, we changed it a few years ago 🤣 I'll change it! With ad revenue it's all industry dependant, for example channels that talk about finances make a lot of money because businesses like banks (who have a lot of money) run ads on channels like that.

Can you talk about introverts because i have very low confidence in talking infront of a camera let alone a photo of myself and posting it. Is it alright to only post photos and videos without talking like you always do if video commercials or product photography are the service you give
@abiconnick2 жыл бұрын
Of course! I completely understand where you’re coming from because not everyone is confident to show their face and speak to the camera. I was like this at the start of my journey (so scared to speak to the camera - take a look back at my first ever KZbin video it was awful and I was so bad at talking to the camera! The only way I was able to improve was just by doing it! With anything the more you do something the better you will get! There’s still great ways to put out great content without showing your face, like doing podcasts, creating educational content for your audience, showing behind the scenes of your day. You could create tutorials on how you make a product video, give tips and be the go to person for product photography! All of these can be done without showing your face, you’ve just got to think of ways that are going to make your content stand out compared to others! I will say from my experience the thing that has helped me build my brand is putting myself out there and pushing myself to do things I was afraid of (like talking to the camera)!! Hope that helps!

@abiconnick2 жыл бұрын
I have a q&a coming out next week and one of the questions I answer is about this exact topic! I think there are ways around it, I do believe showing your face sometimes is beneficial as it shows a human behind the brand, but one solution could be showing your employees, or employee a head of social, to be the face of the company. If not utilise other content forms like podcasting, blogs, etc there are loads of ways to show your personality on socials and build that connection!

Does this also go with getting “serious” clients? Clients that will pay you for what your worth & can afford you
@abiconnick2 жыл бұрын
Yes of course! !It's worked wonders for me. I charge anywhere between 2.5-5k per project and get all my clients from social media

Go what I felt was my Dream role this past Feb for a "luxury" Boutique Hotel. Three months later I feel so burnt out. And no one has a real idea for what I do and that it takes time. If I was off property as a Freelancer they wouldn't be expecting stuff done same day they ask for it. We go around the room every department has one or two things on their plate and I have two things from EACH department on my plate. Key role but I'm not feeling happy about it. It better than a non creative job but I'm drained and the work load never stops. You feel behind every week. Going to work remotely once a week and see how that helps..... Anyway wanted to watch your channel for some inspo. I think I could carve out a niche in beverage and food packaging or labels and menus. There's a demand and then of course the social graphics for it.

I can completely relate! The job I had before I started my business sounds very similar to this, I find in service based businesses they don't tend to appreciate creative work, or understand how long it can actually take. I remember times I would get someone from another department come in 30 minutes before I finish my work day and ask if I could design a poster for them that they needed by tomorrow! I really do sympathise the situation you're in, but use this as fuel to start your own thing and build that up on the side so you can be your own boss! For sure there's a demand for that! If you're good enough there's a demand for anything. I wish you the best, you got this! 😊

@@abiconnick thank you so much! I'm giddy that you replied. 😀💕 It feels good to feel understood and I admire your work and channel and I know for sure it's not just me. No one here understands lol. And neither do friends because they don't work in Creative roles. I told them I need at least 48 hrs notice for even the smallest project because I have many others in progress as it is. But they do think I just "whip things up" and " put my creative eye on it" is another phrase. "Make it look sexy".....which is kind of slightly inappropriate lol to say to a Female but anyway.... I feel validated that this is something best delivered b2b vs in-house. It has never worked for Me. Thank you again Abi ❤️. yes in the meantime building my portfolio!! I'll have plenty.
