Your message is so fantastic. I sometimes forget how to play, and your wisdom sinks in to my soul like water into rain parched soul. Thank you for this most vital nourishment!

After watching one of your video on daily drawings two months ago, I decided learning watercolor painting. I bought lots of new paper, paints, and brushes. Your videos are a huge source of motivation for me. I've been a stock photographer for over 10 years, but right now, my biggest excitement is keeping a daily sketchbook and exploring watercolor. Thank you for helping me discover a new talent at 43 years old! :)

Thank you for being there and sharing your experience with us. I used to be a creative person. Had so many sketchbooks, painted, tried digital art and made videos, even shared them with the world. Last week, I left my corporate job because I know that I need to find that part of me again. I lost it somewhere along the way and don't really remember what happened and I stopped. Guess it was the 'life' that happened to me. You inspired me to find myself again, to hold her hand. Thank you🔅

I'm in my later 40s, and I'm going back to college as a part time student, working on getting my Certificate in Studio Art. I've always drawn all my life, but this is the first time doing art in school. Last fall semester, I took both Drawing I and Painting I, and let me tell you...those classes had me out of my comfort zone *a lot*! I remember learning how to paint transparent glass on a canvas, and I was so frustrated I had to excuse myself a couple times in class to pull myself back together. I eventually got it, thankfully. Another challenge was self portraits, because drawing faces has always been hard for me. But I actually surprised myself when I finished it in the end - making a self-portrait was our final in drawing, and to this day, it's still the best portrait I've ever done...and I've also learned that I like using charcoal 😊 I've all my art class projects up on my Instagram now.

When I get stuck in writing, I either paint or handicraft. I have several works in progress k hitting and crocheting, and also embroidery and crazy patchwork.

I just love your advice. It's always spot on and motivating. I used to love love love “draw with me” when it was JUST YOU. It was relaxing, comforting, and a fun experience. I rarely watch now, sucks… I miss it. (I often wonder if anyone else feels this way about your show...)

I'm sorry you feel that way. I love doing the show with JJ. If you want to hang out with "just me," then join the channel membership. I make several solo videos each week.

Amen🙏 Nothing teaches you that you have no control like being a parent, children remind us of freedom and as we encourage our children to be anything they want, we can’t help but reflect on what we wanted to be, what happened to that version of ourselves and when did we conform to stuffy and comfortable…then we give ourselves permission to play using our children as the excuse if we make a fool of ourselves…and little by little we care less about what others think and just want to be true to ourselves as we strive to help our kids remain true to their goals regardless of others opinions. Being a parent has taught me so much and your encouragement to continue drawing has taught me to love my ‘mistakes’ as a testament to my imperfection…and that is what makes us and our art unique, those imperfections that speak to our character. Thank you Danny for your constant encouragement to keep going and reinventing ourselves 🙏🫶
