Thanks David. I tend to use my thumb and fingers for strumming and plucking, but more recently I’ve been trying to use the plectrum more to get better definition. This was helpful. Thank you.

I used to use the Tortex .50 Red and I switched to these pink ones. I like them much better!

David great great lesson! Camera angle was perfect and instrumental to your guidance! (Pun unintended) That pic, which I bought after I saw your video on that is fantastic and my main go to for now. Keep up your exceptional videos. I just wish I had more time to practice. Best wishes for your J4 and to everyone as well.

I use this same pick As my main , but I use the round side on the strings I also like Joystring .50 multi colored, and D'Addario.50 classic They sound good through mic, live, in our group mix

Great video. I prefer playing with the hybrid style, using flat pick and two middle fingers, which allows me to fingerpick parts of a song, and be more aggressive during other parts. Pick movement has been hard to get under control, and this video is the first I've seen that addresses that problem, and it's a huge problem! You give some great advice on the subject so, Well done! Another point to think about and would like your comment on, is the angle that the pick strikes the string. If the pick hits the string perfectly flat, then in theory, it shouldn't move at all. But of course wrist movement will cause the hand to move in an arc. If the pick strikes the string on the front edge, the tip will rotate into the hand, and then all the exercises you demonstrate will be needed to correct the movement. Anyway buddy, thanks for the video, best

Hi David. Just watching your light strumming/picking video, which I can manage following your video. What I've had trouble is for ages is playing the rifts in here comes the sun by the Beatles and generally foul up when repeating it. Have you any tips. Thanks Barry

My tip to prevent it from moving off its axis is to not have to much of the pick exposed or whenever I feel it's going to start to rotate I angle my thumb downwards on-top. Since I do those two things I never have there issue anymore 🤠

Possibly this is not good technique (I don't know) but I cheat writhe a little dab of Blu Tac on my thumb🤔 . I had a lot of trouble dropping the pick and it moving. It works ok and the pick is still flexible because the index finger is free.

All the other advice I’ve heard says not to use a pick that’s too light/thin. Am only starting with a pick so am confused now 🤔

My 2¢, I think it depends on the style, of music, other instruments involved, even then thin is mainly good for when strumming. KZbin Doctor Bob's acoustic guitar mix, good example of how a thin pick can sound in band mix For my style , I love thin, it sounds splashy-sparkly, percussive in a light feathery way in the mix, that's what moves me
