"Sree - - - Rang - - - gapuu - - raa - - - vee - - haa - - aa - -raa - aa!" I have been listening to and savoring this Dheekshidar Krithi for the past fifty years since 1970. Every morning in Maarghazhi, our local Easwaran Kovil Gufukkall will broadcast thru the mike set early in the dawn. There were no other way than to own a Gramophone than to listen to this soul melting rendition by MSma. It woke us up for studying in the "Bhramma Muhoorththam" of each day in Maargazhi and we grew up with that. And it became a life long habit to wake up around Four AM even without an alarm clock!! After we learnt the meaning and the lyrics thru the Gurukkall, we were lured even more into this. Even since that, I listen to this at least once in a day and invigorate myself for the day. Now, our Sangheedha Dhevadhai Soorya Ghaayathri is doing the same with her "Swarga Saareeram!" Enchanting and with her soft tone, crystal clear pronunciation, soulful rendition, this Krishi just fuses me to the "Prapancha Logam!" Great work Dear Strumm!!

The composer Dikshitar (1775 -1835) was aware of several North Indian ragas, as well as Western tunes. He composed this in the North Indian raga "Brindavan Sarang" and decided to embed the name of the raga in the lyrics, so it is always sung in that scale. You can hear the name of the raga mentioned at 2:46 in the piece. His compositions are beautifully and intricately crafted, and this is a well known example.

How she is conquering every Legend and smashing them to the ground? She is not just singing, she is expressing her devotion, dedication and purity through her melodious musical voice. At any vocal level she didn't missed above said things, anywhere. Particularly when she went very low at 4:27 'pankajaptha kula jalanidhi soma' I got tears myself there, not one time. At the same spot 4:46 a very little bubble splashed in her throat will prove after thousands of years that, this song was sung by human being !!! if human turns completely into machine. This is not least, that I think her Guru Mr. Kuldeep M Pai must praised for the tremendous thing happening in this world. I am humbly bowing my head to Guru Paramparaam !!!!!
