Man I miss Jordan. I don’t think they appreciated what they had in the band and just thought they could change him out for a newer model. Jordan played exactly what the music needed, it was like he was mentally in sync with Rob and Jason. Creating memorable drum parts for every single song, drum parts that had every punk drummer thinking “shit why didn’t I think of that” Not to mention his solid timing. The new guy obviously kicks ass, and seems like a good dude but the new album was just missing something. And I don’t even think it was just the drumming, it was that one of the three main song writers in the band wasn’t there anymore. Jordan helped make strung out’s music what it was, just as Jason and the guitarists did.

What happened to Jordan anyway? Is he just too old for the band? I haven't been keeping up with the soap opera I guess... What an amazing drummer.

@@ElDarren Jordan and the band members have both done interviews on various podcasts stating their sides of what went down. Jake, the guitarist said Jordan didn't seem as interested anymore, and wasn't practicing drums in between tours or developing his drumming/stamina. Jordan seemed to imply the relationships in the band had soured overall. He said him and Jason, the singer hadn't spoken as friends in years, and would even pass each other on the street (In the day time while out on tour) and not even nod, say hello or acknowledge each other. Jordan threw a bit of shade at the Jason too, saying it's ironic his drumming was criticized when Jason rarely sings in key. Ouch ! Same thing basically happened to Slipknot, Joey stopped being able to play to the same level as before so they just got rid of him.

@@ElDarren I've been curious for years as to what really caused the split. Unfortunately, there is very little info online about it. Strung Out released a statement saying that they felt betrayed over an event, or series of events, involving Jordan... something along those lines. Then shortly after Jordan released his own statement saying that he'd been unfairly terminated from the band and that there are two sides to the story, but would remain respectful and not air out dirty laundry on the internet. Only someone who is in close with the band would be able to answer this as it seems we won't find out any other way. My blind guess is that it ultimately has to do with money... As per the norm in most bands. Since Jordan doesn't seem to have a substance abuse problem, that doesn't seem to be the cause. They were aslo together for 25 years, so maybe it was just personalities clashing and they couldn't take anymore... though that wouldn't leave the taste of betrayal in anyone's mouth, so again, I'm assuming it involves dinero. Or maybe he slept with another band mates girlfriend... Who the hell knows?

Love the drum arrangement on this tune. Burns had a great way of keeping things interesting with small changes and using space. Also nice job doing that double kick part during the guitar solo with one foot 🦶

I have to be honest that there are Strung Out albums that I avoid listening because of a reason I’m not completely aware of-maybe low self esteem from low guitar skills comparatively, maybe…maybe the sound is becoming the same in some album(s). But you really made me want to go listen to each songs carefully. Thanks Kyle!

Damn you sit low. I would get more power from that, but it effected my reach to things. I have the top of my knee even with the bottom of my ass now since I'm trying to play metal & it's easier to reach stuff. My back would hurt every now & then this low too.
