I am 70 years old. When this song came out, I was around 30 something and still had a very youngish vib. Today, this song came on the radio as I parked my car to have a hair cut. I stayed in the car to hear the entire song on LOUD, even though it made me a little late. Priorities!!!

Interesting observation Lea. The bass, actually is having a conversation with the lead voice. The bass is a plaintive and sad apology to her. It's nothing short of brilliant. But did you know it was Nile Rogers and Bernard Edwards who started that sort of trend in bass line prominence? ;-)
