I recently watched No Country For Old Men and I didn't think it was good at first until I watched it again and that was when I finally understood the messages within the movie and it makes it so much better. And since this song sounds dark and depressing pitched lower, I thought it would fit Anton Chigurh well.

The rule of fire . Even if we wanted to control are fate it isn't possible depending on what we are trying to control .somethings are best left alone if you feel the need to want to control it . You can never control fate .

Think about it , he's saying all your beleives and nietivty sowed your own fate and all was for nothing and Carson agrees then Chigurh tells him to admit his situation and that there would be more dignity in it . Thats when Carson realizes he should've left shit alone and knows his fate is sealed when you see him tell him to go to hell and Anton admires that he excepted his fate in that moment thats why he smiles . Actually very sophisticated character Anton lives life on his own rules and he is Physchopathic in a way that he feels power controlling fate while completing his mission . In the end he completed his mission he killed lywelyn moss took all the money ,kept his promise to lywelyn that if he didn't comply he would kill his wife . He went and killed his wife and was heading off into sunset whatever that is for him and he ended up getting hit by another car wasn't even his fault. The accident busted him up he gets out the car and has a vulnerable expression on the face like he cannot beleive and understand where fate brought him and he ends up having to leave the money and take off . Had he left Karla jean alone he would've been straight but he did all that extra shit and it cost him that money . But in the end he understands the rule of fire , he excepted that n it is what it is and got away more then likely . Amazing book and movie .
