This was possibly the only Album Micheal took on different Geeky Nerdy image in different forums to promote it, Here he has that Vampier look, I remember one interview where he looked like a Harry Potter geek sporting nerdy glasses. Don't know if any of you were around then..lol but this was also the time era where you couldn't admit you were in a "Metal Band" because it wasn't "Cool" anymore..lol Robert on the hand always stayed true the Rock Image.

Yaaay Stryper! I was an independent Baptist pastor for 15 years... Tired of all the condemnation without investigation. Stryper preaches Christ and Christ alone. Go get em Stryper!

Ironically a year later they were "against the law". Not there was anything wrong with that album. Just a total 360.

That album is great. it sounds even better now. Good songs. A different vibe.

360 would be a complete circle. you mean 180.

Christ has his church & does stand at the head of his church!@ To say to not follow religion & just follow Christ, is true & false. How do you convert, how do you fellowship, how do you gather with your fellow man & speak of Heavenly Father & his son. In holy buildings & yes it starts at home, prophets, preachers, a avangelists, apostles, it all started with the Jews in synagogues & temples, similar to church!@ To say to not trust in religions, & fellowship with your fellowman in Christ, is naive. How does Gods kingdom get established & built upon the earth then. By sitting at home & watching T.V., & watching Stryper? No. I think the little bit of exposure, that Michael & Robert received here, may have gone to their heads a little here! Unintentionally, but I've heard them speak otherwise at different times, & what religion they're, at the end of the day we are not all perfect. But I still love Strypers music & them standing for Christ, as a latter day Saint, it's my intention also...

They contradicted themselves a few times on here. They were so young and their movement was still new, Plus most churches criticized them either out of being Judgmental or didn't like their appearance of financial success. If you were ever in a Rock Band you would know that, All the glitters is far from Gold. I give them credit for sticking with it. and coming back even better than ever. I actually went to a show where they were being booed off the stage, This is during Against The Law and in their home town. BTW: That's my favorite Album from them. I think they used to go to a non-denominational Church in Diamond Bar, California. My band in the 90s did a few shows there. Regarding the religion topic, Any steady group gathering is going to create some sort of click in brotherhood/sisterhood that creates standards whether they know it or not, no matter what you call it, in this case the religion was "non-denominational"..lol and you say it looks like it's gone to their heads, to me with some of the members, it still looks that way today..lol See what Tim Gaines has to say about their falling out.

...and to think that I used to like these guys. What a bunch of mama's boys! Michael used to act effeminate and shake his butt, in tight pants, onstage. They used to look like girls. Yuck!

You should go check out the new album, Fallen. It is epic. All bands were doing that back then and they were just trying to reach as many people as possible. Clearly their intent was to do good and help people.

Since when is being close to your mother (aka a “mama’s boy”) a bad thing? And their looks shouldn’t matter to you, it’s about their message and their music. Are men with long hair and effeminate styles really enough to scare you away from listening to a band you used to like? That’s sad.
