Don't know if it would have been better (bonus card is a gamble), but I was thinking when watching: - Keep the king rail - Play that with the moorhen and pick up the crake - Lay 4 eggs (you had enough food left + cards) - Play the crake (max out enclosure builder and get 5 eggs end of game) Would have been 2 (king rail)+7(crake)+bonus card. You got 3 (dove)+ 5 (tucks) + 6 (W/L nectar in grasslands). If I haven't miscalculated anything. So I would have needed a very good bonus card... Good game to you! 😅

That would have been an interesting line to follow. The Crake is one of the birds I immediately dismiss when I see it, and I'm trying to get out of that habit. I didn't know it at the time, but considering how close the game was, the safe play probably was the right move. If I knew I was behind, the risk should have been taken. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

Doesnt feel like a big question after a W but in retrospect.. Was there a play to be had with, instead of Moorhen, playing Bald Eagle to the wetlands first? Seemed like a slam dunk for me with three fish in the feeder

Yes, this would have been a great play instead of the Moorhen considering the 3 fish. I was too focused on maximizing value from the Moorhen and getting it down first. Good catch.
