Matthew Lillard is awesome in this film. Some say he was overreacting, but his character is supposed to be very animated. In the original script, it reads: "Next to Tatum, sits her boyfriend STUART, with his arm draped across her back. He's a Billy wannabe. Almost the jock, almost handsome, almost cool. He tries way too hard." Matthew Lillard really gave this character some definition. Instead of just making him a guy yearning to be Billy Loomis--he made him this obnoxious sidekick. A guy who fancies himself funnier and cooler than he really is. A royal douche. The perfect douche.

This movie is so timeless. Scared the 💩 at me when I was a kid, but nw I can’t get enough of it. 🤣 If I’m flipping through the channels n it’s on, I gotta watch it. Easily the best film of the franchise, to this day imo. 💯 R.I.P. Wes Craven. 💐🕊️💐

I think Stu and Billy are great representations for showing the difference between a full blown psychopath and a full blown sociopath. Billy is obviously the sociopath. Impulsive, uses threats to control others, charming, but still gives off a suspicious vibe, reoccurring issues with the law, warped view of love, etc (Edmund Kemper type). He feels rage while committing murderer. Stu, on the other hand, is the psychopath. He blends in VERY well with the crowd (Ted Bundy type). He feels joy and euphoria while murdering people. We all figured Billy was the killer, but Stu was a big time plot twist.

When you realise Billy could have found and killed Sidney whilst she talked with Stu by tracking her voice but didnt because he was too angry and made too much noise when you realise Stu has serious issues when he admitted being more afraid of his parents than cops when you realise all those violent deaths came from Billy who portrays a calm rational character, rather than Stu the overactive hectic one.

Part of the fun of these movies is trying to work out who killed who when it comes to who killed Tatum I believe it was Billy and here’s why at 4:33 Stu asks Tatum to grab him another beer and so Tatum goes to the garage Stu then tells Billy that Tatum is going to the garage Billy then gets into the Ghostface costume and goes to the garage he kills Tatum goes into the house gets out of the costume and then he goes outside and makes his way around to the front door which is what you see at 4:57

There was a Scooby Doo promo in the early 2000s where they parodied the opening to Scream, and had Casey Kasem as Shaggy be the mysterious caller. It all came full circle in the end lol
