Stuart Adamsons song performed when he was with The Raphaels. Dunno about you, but listening to this always gave me film noir visions so thats the approach I've tried to take with the video.

Aural Nectar.. Not long before he left us Stuart left us an absolute masterpiece. His talent was Mozartian.

Stuart Adamson had by this time refined the art of songwriting and vocalisation to a perfect pitch...he could have gone on to be the Leonard Cohen of his generation.....

I read on the old BC website that the intro to this song was We Three Kings. I was sitting in a church watching a kids carol service with my son, it kind of hit me the reason for this, Out of Light - Darkness. We three kings is one of the brightest uplifiting carols often done at kids carol concerts, what a contrast, it almost feels like one of the old masters paintings, all that pain and darkness set against extreme innocence and light, it almost hurts to think about it. Genius, pure and simple

Stuart Adamson was fab and died way too young, every band he played in he added pure magic to. My favourite Scottish musician ever, well the Youngs from ac/dc too obviously.

I have yet to get this CD. It sounds as good as anything he's ever done. I think the best thing about Stuart Adamson was the vivid imagery that comes into your mind when you listen to the songs. He was the greatest of storytellers. I read somewhere that one of the best things he enjoyed doing in his life was the soundtrack to "Restless Natives" because he could put the music to the images that were in front of him. I suppose the images in his head he had to put to music proved more difficult.

Wonderful song and you people that feel the same should listen to this version by a friend of Stuart. I myself didn't know about stuart until I stumbled across the Transatlantic sessions. Good music, and I'd like to share it with ya.

Why don't you look back to the likes of the concerts they did in New York in the eighties and it will prove you wrong, his voice notes were so diverse to match his song writing

Yikes, great video. A song that inspires similar thoughts in me. I can't even buy a lottery ticket or else I feel like "I'm making a deal with a guy named doc". Then again, I've probably watched too many film noirs in my day. John Garfield in Force of Evil could be the best of them, along with Bogart in the Big Sleep. If they colourised the latter one, do you reckon they'd put Bacall in red? I trust not. Waffle. Yikes. And there's some old film with Robert Mitchum in it, but I can't remember its name. Out of the Past.
